Rua Al Hijrah Hotel

Very bad experience, don't recommend this hotel, especially if travelling with family, unfortunately we had to due to last minute travel changes and location. Arrived and reservation for two rooms not available, when finally resolved facilities in their suites none existent and the hotel doesn't have claiming that its against policy. Calls for services don't get responded to and no manager to support and resolve issues, room hygene and cleanliness not existent. We got locked in and housekeeping came and said its maintenance who said its saftey who said its maintenance. Didn't get resolved till 1am.

PLEASE READ!!! Extremely disappointed with the service, hygiene, cleanliness and general appearance of this hotel, absolutely disgusting. Service 1/10 Hygiene 1/10 (I am being generous) Cleanliness 1/10 Food 1/10 1. We paid over £1100 for three nights at this hotel. The pillows on the beds were filthy with a bad odour, and once I removed the pillow case I found horrible stains all over them. The bed sheets were the same. It’s like they don't bother cleaning or changing the bed sheets once people check out. 2. Every time we called reception and housekeeping, they were unresponsive and unbothered about the complaints. 3. Breakfast was also awful, completely processed food with limited variety. In addition to this, an elderly woman was using her personal spoon to taste things in the breakfast buffet prior to putting it onto her plate!!! The staff was present in the breakfast area whilst this was happening. 4. Tap water smelt like sewage water, and the AC had a mind of its own- kept switching on and then off, making a loud sound each time. 5. The only reason why people stay here is due to the location. Please avoid this hotel at all costs as there are plenty of other hotels that may be a little further from the masjid, but hygienic, clean with better hospitality and services.

The check-in time is 16:00. It's too late. We couldn't eat lunch from the hotel, while we purchased three whole meals a day, because our right begins at 16:00, and lunch time ends before this time. 75riyal/day for parking car, even though I stay in the hotel. It should be free of charge for the guest. Because the Haram parking lots nearby the hotel cost only 1 riyal/hour.

Room is nice enough but was not cleaned properly. Had to change into another room same deal. International breakfast buffet is good. Don’t chose full board food sucks outside the breakfast. They have 2 different categories of buffet. Ask if it is in the basement level if it is it’s not eatable!… Not sure how they justify charging for it.

Not the best hotel. Bought food and when I came back to my room the cleaners had took it. That made my disappointed. The breakfast needs working on. Definitely do not come with children( especially picky ones) as the break fast isn’t the best and is always the same. The air conditioning turns on automatically and it freezes the room even after we turn it off. I turned the mirror the other way and it was grimy and disgusting. The light arent very good at all. Wouldn’t come again
