Quba Walkway Park- Madinah

Quba Walkway Park is the starting point of a new walkway that helps connects Al Masjid An Nabawi to Masjid Quba in Madinah. The Quba Walkway Park is located close to Al Masjid An Nabawi and is located opposite Masjid Bilal. The walk takes approximately 45 minutes on foot starting from Quba Walkway Park which is located in front of Masjid Quba.

Visitors can enjoy small restaurants, cafes and souks along the route. There are aslo electric carts and bicycles that can be rented out. The walkway has a lively atmosphere and is particulary enjoyable after sunset. The walkway culminates at Quba Square in front of Masjid Quba.

The Signiface of the Route

The route of the walkway is particular significant because it is believed that the first stones of Masjid Quba were position by The Prophet Muhammad, Peace & Blessings of God Be Upon Him (PBUH) himself when He came to Madinah Madinah. 

Narrated Ibn Umar: “The Prophet (PBUH) used to go to the Mosque of Quba (sometimes) walking and sometimes riding.” Added Nafi (in another narration), “He then would offer two Rakat (in the Mosque of Quba).” [Sahih Al-Bukhari]

The Prophet (PBUH) said: “He who purifies himself at his home and comes to Masjid Quba and offers two rakats therein, will be rewarded the reward of an Umrah (lesser pilgrimage).” [Sunan ibn Majah].

The Location

The new pedestianised walkway makes it easy for pilgrims to walk from Al Masjid An Nabawi directly to Masjid Quba.

To access The Quba Walkway Park, the starting point of the walk visitors need to cross the road below the flyover located behind the five star Pullman Zamzam Madinah Hotel which is walking distance from the front aspect Al Masjid An Nabawi (Bab As Salam Gate).
