Description

Kyoto offers authentic Japanese food in the heart of Madinah. Madinah's first-ever Japanese restaurant, Kyoto is located just a few meters from the Prophet's Mosque, on the first floor of the Oberoi Hotel. This restaurant remains an essential address for lovers of Japanese cuisine. Whether it's to enjoy a sushi platter, a seafood salad, or a delicious bento box, its team will meet your taste expectations and enhance the main dishes that have made Japanese cuisine world famous. 

The restaurant is sufficiently spacious and offers two different spaces, one of which has an open kitchen with a plancha and tables to be able to sit right in front of the Chef and to admire him preparing the dishes. This remains an additional experience adding to the taste and pleasure that such cuisine provides. Another major asset, a family corner with 7 seats is also available in a closed room with its own plancha and personal Chef. Typical Japanese decor with a touch of modernity and fine cuisine make this restaurant a must-see for food lovers.

Food was not that good and they have limited menu. The place is small and suffocating, when we ask the waiter to wrap our food takeaway, he bring the box without a bag !!

Delicious food and sushi. We ordered miso soup, dragon roll, beef tepenyaki, shrimp tempura, fried vegetable noodles, and fried rice with vegetables and egg. All tasted good, but the noodles were a bit greasy. Nice ambience and friendly staff. The restaurant also overlooks the Holy Mosque.
