It's got a good ambience with the lights and reflective walls. You get a gift, a book about the Prophet's (SAW) biography. However for 40SAR, you are rushed through a 30minutes walking presentation by a guide. They use touchscreens to talk through rights of the spouses, the Prophet's family and lineage. All these are things one has read and been taught in schools so the value was a bit lost on me. The highlight for me I think is the physical models of Makkah and Madina with locations of the companions' homes highlighted. There's also a 3D screen display of some tools and items used during the Prophet's time. It's finished with a cinema video. I had expected more for the price.

Positive - Informative tour through the life of the prophet Muhammad S.A.W - Beautiful displays - Very well organised. When you purchase your ticket, you will be given a time slot to come. Where your tour will be done in your preferred language. - Tour groups are of good size. Our English speaking group was approximately a group of 15. - AC at the right temperature. So a beautiful escape from the hot weather - Excellent location. Stones throw away from the Prophets Mosque. So even if you have to wait a little bit for your tour to start you can go to the Prophet's Mosque in the meantime. So, for those travelling to Medina for the day this is an excellent addition to their itinerary. - No Cameras allowed inside. Which meant that you could fully be present. A rarity nowadays. Negative - The tour is very informative but last for a short time. - As you are guided through the exhibition, you unfortunately do not get the opportunity to fully explore every aspect of the displays. You only see what your guide presents at that time. On the flip side this means that each time you go through the museum, you get a different version of the tour depending on the tour guide. - The tour is a one way system so at the end you can't go back through it on your own as their are other tours that have started.

Resourceful place, the guide will explain each of the exhibition. Also suitable for kids and old aged. The books choice at shop is great, they sell books not only in arabs but also indonesia, etc. The souvenirs are also cute.
