All the rooms are old and outdated. They smell of mold and mildew. There is rust in all the bathrooms. The smell was filthy and unbearable. Customer service was horrible- we were transferred five times and put on hold for 30 minutes and then they hung up on us. Room service takes two hours to bring items to your room. They don’t clean your room properly, they will leave trash on the night stands and they don’t change out your sheets. I wonder if they are even changing sheets between customers. I will never stay here again and do not recommend this hotel to anyone else. We were here for 7 nights and experienced this the entire time.

Although it's a 5* hotel, the conditions of the rooms are of a 3*hotel. The bathroom needs major renovating. The room smelt of urine and looked very dirty. I did not feel comfortable walking bare foot in the room. The room had no lighting apart from 4 lamps. It was very hard to see especially when dark or when there was no sunlight. On the other hand, the hotel lobby itself is nice. The staff are friendly. We had breakfast included in our package - it was good. The area is very convenient however, the lifts take time coming up and down going to the Haram however, lifts in the hotel are quick. You need to leave early to attend prayers on time. AC was very loud. The small kitchen was not needed and if people require rhis, there should be separate rooms for people who require this. The hotel should have smaller rooms for 2 people. Not worth the price we paid. We won't be staying here again.

The good lady that assisted me with check in etc was excellent at her job, welcoming and understanding. The hotel is ideally situated for easy access to the Haram. I was there only for 1 night so this was a good location. While I understand that the location is prime and the hotel is under renovation, I did not expect that I would be met by a bed that has caved in the centre, a bathroom peppered with cockroaches and facilities that are terribly aged. For this price, the hotel should have ongoing maintenance, fumigation and improved quality. What has taken so long to get the process going? Had I known, I would have stayed at another hotel in the same property.

Location and Rooms are great. They even add beds on request but that won't be needed as 1 bed can easily fit 2 people, it's very large. Aesthetic, view and restaurant selection are very good. Only issue with room service as they have limited amount of stuff that you can take in a day. For eg water bottle, towel or toiletries etc. Would definitely recommend depending on your budget and time of the year you're coming at. Because the prices can be high.

Not even one star is enough. Used to be good but now the service is so bad. Waited too long for check-in, rooms were dirty, had to change them 3 times, bathrooms dirty, no room service whatsoever. Petty concierge personnel trying to make lives difficult just to prove a point. The worst experience ever. It was embarrassing because I brought 13 guests from abroad with me, only to have the service this bad. I asked for a feedback form so I can raise these issues silently but none was provided. No one seemed responsible, and no one seemed to care that there were these issues. I miss when Pullman zamzam was a good hotel.
