Description

The Abraj Al-Bait, also known as The Clock Towers Complex is a complex of seven skyscraper hotels in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. These towers gain their importance from their unique location as they are located a few meters away from Al Masjid al-Haram and loom over it. It is hard to ignore Abraj Al Bait Towers if you are in the vicinity as they seem to be touching the sky and are visible from afar.

Central Hotel Tower

The tallest tower in the complex, Makkah Royal Clock Tower, is the tallest skyscraper in Saudi Arabia and is also the 5th tallest freestanding structure in the world. The Makkah tower also has the world’s largest clock face. Sitting in the Haram, one can always look up and view the clock facing him. Many of these pilgrims choose to stay at the Clock Tower hotels, which provide stunning views of Al Masjid al-Haram with all the worshippers circumambulating the Kaaba.

Facilities in the Complex buildings

The complex consists of hotels, restaurants, museums, residential apartments, shopping centers, and a prayer area that can accommodate thousands of worshippers. There is a five-story shopping mall called the Abraj Al Bait Mall located in the complex along with a parking garage that can hold over a thousand vehicles. The luxury hotels provide five star services and are especially popular among the pilgrims coming over to perform hajj and ummrah every year. Pilgrims can get souvenirs from the gift shops that are located at various points. A private and public viewing deck is also available for visitors to have exclusive views of the holy city. Pilgrims should experience the complex at least once, even if it is just for a cup of coffee.

It is one of the best hotels in Makkah to stay at. It is right in front of Masjid Al Haram which is the most important thing in the city. The rooms are top-class and the service is quite nice. Overall, I would recommend it if you have enough money to spare.

My family and I have been staying at this hotel for more than 6 years every Ramadan. Although the rooms are not excellent , the major reason why we keep coming back here is the exceptional service provided by Mr. Shakeer at this Hotel. We have stayed in newer and more expensive hotels in Makkah during other " less busy" seasons. However, not even those hotels are as welcoming as the service Mr. Shakeer provides in the hotel buffet. During Suhoor, he would be busy bustling around and serving everyone and going over and beyond to serve Allah's guests. Even the buffet receptionists and waiters are very friendly (and there are many waiters so your table would be serviced constantly), providing excellent service. Hygiene is also top-notch. The food is quite delicious with various options for every taste. Thank you, Mr.Shakeer, for making our stay pleasant. I hope SwissHotel is aware that they have such an excellent expert in hospitality at their service.

Absolutely amazing place. Great cleanliness. Great service. A good size shopping centre. A whole floor level for food facilities. Hygienically fantastic. Helpful staff. Hotels of magnificent specifications. Main entrance 100m from the GREAT HARAM. So relaxing, so brilliant. Highly recommended.

"The reception and reception manager should undergo training courses to deal with guests in a manner that reflects customer expectations of having reserved a five-star hotel. The amount paid is for a five-star service, but the surprise is that the experienced staff belongs to a motel, not a five-star hotel. My elderly parent and I, tired from the airport, were shocked when, coming from Canada, I spoke to the duty manager, asking if there was a problem preventing them from smiling. However, nothing changed. I even took our bags to the room myself, and no one informed us about the breakfast buffet location. Even when I complained to the duty manager, the response was indifferent. As a Level 7 Google Guide and Genius 2 on Booking, based on my extensive travel experiences worldwide, this is the worst experience. I'll wait to see if my impression of the hotel's service is accurate or just an isolated incident that doesn't reflect the hotel's customer service policies. I hope a real customer service manager contacts me, and I'll adjust my comment after communicating with one of the managers genuinely concerned about the hotel's reputation

One of the best place in the world. Just love the view of Al Haram from The Clock Towers. You will able to see this from almost all corners of mecca.
