Emaar Royal Hotel Al Madinah

Very small rooms with 1 meter beds so small compared to other hotels the same price. Hygiene and cleanliness is 20% out of 100% therefore considered bad. Location is good. Check in and check out are flexible timings. WiFi is available and good.

Had the most horrible experience. So we booked a double room for our 5night stay and upon arrival we were assigned a triple room quoting ‘sorry we are over booked’. Apparently the hotel doesn’t realistically know what ‘booking’ means. They charged us for our booking but we’re unable to ‘keep’ it. Anyway coming to the triple room - (see photos if you don’t wanna read graphic details) Linen - blood stains Towel - possible human feces Bathroom - leaking and drains smelling Sink & Shower - Visible mould everywhere. Cupboards - broken Pillow - kid you not there was a ‘seed’ under the pillow cover. All this was enough for me to get the tourism ministry involved. Unfortunate that they were only able to get me a new room after wasting 2 whole days. I demand a refund and swear to raise it with the authorities next time I’m in Madinah. Business like this should not be allowed to operate.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the staff is friendly. I enjoyed the delicious food at the restaurant. The hotel's location is great for exploring the city. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend it to others."

Pros: Close to Alharam and the food was nice. Cons: " we can't do anything currently since we are at max. capacity so deal with that for couple of days" is the standard response of the reception staff for any problem.. The room was small and elevators are not efficient so if you are not a fan of using stairs then this place is not for you..

This place is inside the ring road. Attitude of reception and security is bad. The property insists on payment even if you have the option of free cancellation after so many days claiming they don't have the option of getting the payment using the credit card. They agree to provide you with free parking and turn a deaf ear once you reach. Housekeeping people are dedicated to their work. Walkability to the masjid and to the female praying area are a huge bonus. Asian food options outside the property are too bad.
