Description

Altopiano is a fine-dining restaurant that specialises in serving Italian cuisine fused with Saudi ingredients wherever possible, yet preserving the authentic Italian taste. The restaurant is located in the Bujairi Terrace in historical Diriyah which makes it the perfect place to reflect this infusion between the two cultures. It has beautiful indoor and outdoor seating with rustic interior design, dim lights, patio heaters which create a warm and cosy ambience. Altopiano has a degustation menu that focuses on the senses and the Italian culinary art, and they take their guests’ feedback into consideration in creating their menu. 


They welcome you with the well-known Italian Bellini cocktail drink which is a symbol of pride in Italy. For starters, you can enjoy the delicate taste of Carpaccio, Burrata, Arancini, and the Insalata Altopiano salad with dates. For the main course, they offer delicious Risotto Bosco, Branzino sea bass, and Bistecca steak. As for desserts, you can enjoy the cloudy dreamy taste of their Tiramisu and Panna Cotta. They are renewing their menu every time so don’t be surprised if you find new items. 


The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the general manager himself, Mr. Stefano, is known to greet guests personally to explain the concept of their menu and the story behind this lovely restaurant. Altopiano is one of The best Italian restaurants in Riyadh. It’s a great place to have an unforgettable Italian dining experience with your family.

One of the interesting places around Riyadh - a deposit of historic life in the realm. Every tourist ought not to miss that. It's an awesome spot for weekend leisure. And also it is free entry for the entire summer season.

It was my first time visiting bujairi and I took a friend there for his birthday. I was expecting to have a unique experience there however I was disappointed with the place. First of all, I learned that it was still the soft opening of Altopiano and the menu options were limited. The place was empty and sad! Service was okay but not the best as one of the waiters asked if he can take the dishes while we were still eating. Food was okay but definitely not worth going back to! There are plenty of better Italian restaurants in Riyadh with better menus, offering a more pleasant experience.
