The inception of KAFD Riyadh took place in 2006 and the aim behind this project was to create a sustainable and modern financial center that would cater to the expanding requirements of Riyadh, while significantly boosting its economy.
The Public Investment Fund (PIF) acquired the project in 2018 and continues to play a pivotal role in Vision 2030. The district offers its residents and visitors a high standard of living with its modern infrastructures, green spaces, and a plethora of world-class amenities including world class restaurants.

The master plan of KAFD was envisioned by the renowned Danish architect firm, Henning Larsen architects. Transport Infrastructure
KAFD Riyadh is also expected to be served by the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) Metro Station once the Riyadh Metro is complete. Additionally, a 3.5 kilometers monorail with six stations is also planned for the district making it a must visit destination in Riyadh.
