Description

Lotus Restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Makkah and is inside the Millennium Makkah Al Naseem Hotel, which is a 5-star hotel in Makkah. The High-rise building is 11 km from the grand Masjid al-Haram mosque.

It is an international buffet restaurant with live cooking stations that also offer an A La Carte menu. For breakfast, they have salads, fruits, coffee, juices, tea, sausages, bread, cakes, eggs, and many items to eat. The decoration is wonderful. Lotus restaurant is located on the ground floor of Millennium Hotel, on Ibrahim Al Khalil St, Makkah.

Nice hotel, it’s a little far (15 min by car / 30 min walk) from Haram but they do provide a regular and good shuttle service. Rooms were nice, could improve a little on regular housekeeping but overall positive experience and would recommend.

Rooms very clean and spacious. The staff has no communication amongst themselves. Got locked out several times even though already told date of departure. Paid for late check out and they called us for check out at noon. Had to explain that we already paid for that. Quite far from haram and shops/restaurants. Shuttle service not too good. Missed prayers at haram due to that.

The hotel was really nice and service was very good all round from the time of check in to the time of check out. Breakfast was awesome with many different options to indulge in. It was super clean everywhere. There were many lifts so waiting was very minimal. Although the dostance it far from Al Haram there is a shuttle bus every hour. If the shuttle bus frequency can be increased to every 30 minutes that would be great. Excellent value for money overall.

In general, excellent, especially in the services available: the restaurant and the means of transport to the Haram and all thanks to Mrs. Lama Samir for her cooperation with us.

HORRIBLE - VERY BAD EXPERIENCE 0/10 This hotel does not deserve a 5 stars but only a 2 stars. Hotel with a modern external appearance but the rooms are very dated with lots of issues : - Electricity outage, - faulty switches, - visible limescale in the shower, - dirty carpet, - camping bedding - bad smell - rubbish in the corridor - trash can on doors landing - … The most unpleasant is the noise with non-soundproofed rooms in which you can hear all the noises of the corridors, conversations and slamming doors. Impossible to sleep. I shortened my stay with the greatest indifference except apologies by one employee embarrassed by this situation (thanks to him). Management responsible said me this is the same thing in other hotels. As a 5 stars hotel we never mustn’t criticize competitors. I changed my room the first night but it was the same thing and no upgrade possible to try to solve this situation. No customer service, no skills to resolve these multiple problems that wouldn’t exist for a 5 stars hotels. Last but not least, breakfast times are not adapted to the rhythm of the country and access was refused by the manager for 10 minutes delay. No room service which for a 5 star is abnormal. I strongly advise against the Millenium Hotel, there are 3 star hotels in the city which are cheaper with better quality of service. Save your time.
