We stayed at this hotel for the last ten days of Ramadan, we came as the guests of Allah to perform our Umrah and go to Masjid Al
haram smoothly, to pray during the last 10 Days of Ramadan.
To our utter dismay, the location was extremely far from Masjid Al Haram (can take up to 2 Hours by the hotel coach)
The good point about the hotel was the catering staff were very helpful and hospitable. The buffet was of a high standard, I would rate it to be 10/10. Even though our booking was not booked correctly the staff in the catering department managed to facilitate our requirements.
The cleanliness and daily house cleaning were of a good standard however bath towels were limited.
Some reception staff were willing, cooperative and helpful whilst others gave us incorrect Information about coach times to the haram.
We were disappointing about the location, no shops around the hotel, distance from the haram was extremely difficult due to the hotel coach consistently late when taking the guests of Allah to the haram, causing salaat times to be missed as a result, also due to the level of traffic, the coach at a total standstill, leaving us at The entrance tunnel which lead to The haram whereby leaving us with the option to stay on the coach whilst at a standstill for 2 hours, walk for 15/20 mins, catch a taxi if you can get one, to pray our salaat or stay at the haram all night, therefore, Salat times was missed as a consequence,
The haram side where the coach drop off was, safa and marwa, upon reaching the haram it was all blocked and sectioned off making pilgrims walk long distances to get inside the masjid causing extreme inconvenience due to the long walking distances.
When returning to the hotel after salaat times to get The coach back to hotel was a complete nightmare, hardly ever available and the times were not made clear of pick-up points or hours, wasted so much precious valuable time unnecessarily. Only having to then look for a taxi to take us back to the hotel at times suhoor time has finished upon reaching the hotel.
If you opt to stay at this hotel in Ramadan be prepared to catch taxis cost of which range between 40 - 100 SAR one way, overcharging due to the busy season.
Extra costs are involved especially if you want to pray Tarweeh and qiymal layl which is the whole purpose of visiting Makkah.
However it has now been brought to the attention of the Hotel Management, who have responded competently and efficiently, They have been extremely empathetic and apologetic, furthermore they were unaware of the issues we faced and have been working with us to rectify this matter to ensure future pilgrims do not encounter these problems in the future.
Thank You Mr Muhammad and Muaily for your understanding and support which is greatly appreciated.
