Mercure Corniche Al Khobar

I am a Platinum member of Accor. During a business trip, We were staying in Novotel Dammam Business Park for a few days. For a meeting in Al Khobar, we booked Mercure Al Khobar to be near the meeting area and canceled our stay in Novotel. I booked a room for 2 male adults with 2 single beds. Upon arrival, the receptionist did not greet and just asked for ID. The customer service at reception was unprofessional. As a Platinum member, we were not provided with member benefits. Key cards were given in hand without key card holders. The allocated room was a room with a double bed only, and there was only one towel, one blanket, one toothbrush, one cup, etc... in the room. There was no personalization or a greeting card or welcome gift / basket available in the room for Platinum members. We felt we were in a local non-branded hotel and not in A Mercure Hotel. The furniture was old. The chair was broken. Requested for a room with 2 beds, but reception refused it. Requested to provide amenities for 2nd guest in the evening, and we were told that it would be provided, but when we returned back in the night, no amenities were provided. Requested the reception again to at least provide a blanket for the 2nd guest. When the housekeeping employee visited our room in the night, we requested him to provide amenities, and he provided them. My colleague slept on the sofa because he do not share the bed with others, the sofa was not a convertable sofa bed, and he had pain in his neck and back when he woke up. Upon complaining to reception, they do not care. The hotel needs to improve its customer service and treatment with loyal members. I regret I canceled my extended stay in Novotel and booked Mercure.

Honestly, my worst experience ever, i am attending a course here, and the course was literally set up in the corridor. It's the worst organisation i have ever seen. Even when they changed the location, it wasn't adequate and not set to accommodate the participants number

Poorly maintained. The lounge, loft, and premises are not cleaned for ages. One could see the accumulated dust and leaves fallen when you look out from the elevator as it moves up. Elevators are very slow, and the access control (normal in all ALL hotels) was not functional. The front slide doors were not working as I arrived. When I left the hotel, a hoist was in operation, blocking the entrance for some maintenance without having any safety precautions or measures. No welcome drink voucher served. Room I booked a non-smoking room, but I could see the ashtray at the coffee table as I entered. I have reconfirmed it at the reception. TV remote did not work to switch off the TV. Was not replaced even after reporting. You are saving on towels. Well, I would rate it as good. But water was leaking in the toilet from the flush. So what is the CO and ? saving you are talking about. The shower hand set is a disaster. No stainer in the washbasin drains, which is unhealthy, and water bubbles up. The position of A/C outlet is right on top of your head when in bed. This makes it really awkward to sleep at night. The window curtains have not been washed for years and are dusty. Seaview restaurant, Well, a lot of improvement is needed to make this place clean and hygienic. Service quality was very poor. Even a fresh brewing coffee machine is missing. The only one good thing I received is a delayed checkout. Thanks for the same.

A huge disappointment and total waste of money. NOT AT ALL A 5 STARTS EXPERIENCE!! Went to the sea view restaurant for lunch buffet with my family. Have had better and delicious buffet at local non star restaurants. It was supposed to be a farewell party. Ended up so disappointed here. The food here was blunt cold and had no taste. Only 5 variety in the main courses. Empty trays and waiters neglecting to refill. There was a lot of noice of waters moving tables and chairs around while the guests were eating.

The place is very beautiful ? and well organised. I had the greatest time there. The rooms are very clean. The stuff are very friendly. I really loved ❤ the experience.
