I am a solo Western woman traveler and had some anxiety before coming to Riyadh.
However, the entire experience exceeded all most optimistic expectation, in big part due to the quality of the service at Jareed! I felt safe, comfortable, respected and truly catered to. Half way through the stay I asked for an upgraded room with a view and was offered it immediately and with a discount. Being jetlagged coming from California I was up at 5:30 am and asked for steam and ironing of my abaya, and to my surprise the housekeeping person was at my door in 5 minutes and in 1 hour I got my garments back! Try that in the US, lol
Main restaurant is lively and authentically Italian, but my heart was with the top floor casual Living Room. Indoor with sofas, huge TV and table games, and outdoor terrace with beautiful views on Riyadh, collection of gourmet Chinese teas and delicious simple plates. Sitting on the terrace I was thinking how wonderful that the world is chaining for the better and inspired by Saudi women laughing and enjoying themselves.
5+ stars experience all around!
