Description

Breakfast restaurants in Makkah are hard to come by. Maqam Cafe is one of the few places that is distinguished for serving Arabic, Turkish, and American breakfast options. They have a group of Saudi chefs, and they serve the most delicious breakfast dishes, desserts, and Turkish coffee.

They offer Arabic breakfast, Shakshuka Maqam, American breakfast, pancakes, french toaster etc. They also have hot and cold drinks. ( Spanish latte, ice chocolate, pistachio and many more to drink. Cafe has desserts like cheesecake, pancake and waffle etc. They have a single and family section for sitting areas. The decor is nice and elegant. Maqam cafe is located in Ibrahim Al Joufaili, near Chicken it ,  Makkah.

I visited this place two times. The food is not bad. But they make you wait long till they take your order. Waiters don't smile or even pay attention to customers. Today was my second time, I was there and only two tables were occupied, and 4 people working in the restaurant. I stayed for half and hour and still nobody of the four came and took my order, despide how many times I made it clear that I wanted to order. So I left.

Jan 2022 Good ambiance, delicious foot but the bread is simply a bun, not turkish. The service was good but slow when crowded. Photo Update Jan 2023. I visited this place a year ago but seems the service is getting worse. The service has become very slow and only upon request. Table weren't clean, presentation wasn't considered, you have to ask for every item again to be served. The food quality wasn't as good as ut used to be.

The coffee took about an half hour and it came to us cold even though we asked for extra hot. The French toast isn’t really French toast it’s just a piece of bread with sauce over it. I hear their breakfast is better maybe that’s those thing ??‍♂️
