Grand East Hotel

We liked the staff who were very friendly. The guy at the lobby bar was very kind and made sure we were taken care of. The waitresses at the breakfast was also amazing. The dedicated beach for the Dead Sea was also good. The rooms were a little bit old though and the swimming pool was very cold we couldn't use it. They need to temperature-control those so you can use them. We also lost money in the room but the management said that they have no record of anyone accessing the room while we were at the beach.

Other what was said in most of the reviews I want to add that the shower cord leaks 90% of the water and then 10% is used , and sink hot water is right not left as standard but shower hot water is on the left and cold should and is always right 😉.. AC , is either off or continuously on 😡😡😡😡.. Hotel definitely needs renovation and upgrading. TV remote control needs battery cover and TV channels are not so much interesting, even some channels are not so clear . I skipped lunch dinner and breakfast so can’t say anything but I got a light sandwich which was good. House Keeping should not knock on doors at 9 am , and wait until checked out . Needs Constant cleaning attention because many guests are ignorant and brings the mud and water while walking in the hotel carelessly from beach or swimming pools. Staff are well trained and well mannered. It’s a typical 3 plus star hotel but if they upgrade the hotel it would be a 4 star plus . Internet connection in the lobby is real good and fast but other areas it’s a disaster . Very slow and not really reliable. 4 G reception is outside the hotel , but in the rooms it’s 3 G.

Good location and best price amongst all closeby hotels. But not the kind of experience you pay for. Pros: -walkable access to the dead seatowels and mud pit provided -three swimming pools -decent buffet - extra house keeping items were required by us and quickly provided by staff Cons: - old rooms - AC was working but didn't seem to regulate temp as per choice - no one attended calls at reception ( calls made at decent time of 7pm or so) - staff has trouble understanding and converting in English...french is comfortable apart from Arabic

We only used the resort to go to the beach. I cannot speak about the rooms. The hotel looked very nice, and the beach was comfortable and clean too. I don’t give it 4 stars because the installations to get changed were quite poor (they didn’t have hot water nor soap). I understand you would go to your room for that, but I was expecting something a bit better for a resort that also offers daily entry just to go to the beach. We had access to the buffet which was also nice

We did not get to experience the rooms, as we went for the lunch and swim experience. The hotel has a total of 4 pools, one exclusively for ladies. The dead sea private beach front is massive and not busy. Mud, beach loungers, towels and shower facilities are available for use without any extra charge. The buffet food selection was alright. There is an option for all different diets, i.e. vegetarian, etc. The drinks are not included and will be an extra charge. The shower facilities can use a lot of improvement. Shower gels and shampoo are not available. Overall, a good place to experience the Dead Sea.
