Khobar Corniche Mosque - Eastern Province

The KhobarChroniche Mosque (also known as the Al-Hariri Mosque) is located on Al-Khobar corniche in Saudi Arabia. Sheikh Ayed bin Farhan Al Qahtani, owner of SumouHolding Company, created this monument in the name of his mother.

Landscape

The mosque is situated along the coast of the Persian Gulf in Jeddah. The mosque stands right in front of a huge water body and is surrounded by a park. The park has 43 artificial palm trees that are about 6 meters high. There is also a lake and artificial water falls in the area. The picturesque location of the mosque makes it an ideal place for people to visit with their families. 

Structure

This mosque has 37 different types of arches and 14 domes. The structure of the mosque is inspired by Ottomon and Mamluk architecture. People visiting the mosque will notice the design of the mosque being a combination of several styles of Islamic architecture.
