I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Olian Hotel in Riyadh, and I must say it was one of the worst experiences of my life. From the moment I arrived, I knew I had made a grave mistake choosing this hotel.
Let's start with the rooms. They were nothing short of a disappointment. The cleanliness was subpar, and the overall condition of the rooms was appalling. I found stains on the bedding, the carpet was dirty, and the furniture was worn out. It felt like I had stepped into a time-worn, neglected space that had not seen proper maintenance in years.
The housekeeping staff was equally unsatisfactory. They lacked attention to detail and seemed disinterested in their work. I had to repeatedly request basic amenities such as extra water, and even then, they were not prompt in fulfilling these simple requests. Moreover, it took me a total of five times to ask for a tissue box before they finally provided one. It is utterly unacceptable to have such poor service in any hotel.
As if the state of the rooms and housekeeping weren't enough, the hotel's management seemed to have no regard for their guests' comfort. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, there were loud parties taking place on the ground floor that continued until the early hours of the morning, specifically 4 am. The booming music echoed throughout the entire building, making it impossible to sleep or find any peace and quiet. Despite numerous complaints to the reception, their response was utterly disappointing. They did nothing to address the issue, leaving me to suffer through sleepless nights.
The breakfast offered at Olian Hotel was an absolute disappointment. Although it was included in my room rate, I found myself avoiding it as much as possible. The quality of the food was substandard, with limited options and tasteless dishes. Out of the 12 nights I stayed at the hotel, I only ventured to the breakfast area a mere 3 to 4 times. It was a complete waste of an amenity that was supposed to be included in the package.
To top it all off, the staff at Olian Hotel were far from friendly. They lacked basic courtesy and appeared disinterested in providing assistance or making guests feel welcome. Their lack of professionalism and hospitality was deeply disappointing and added to the overall negative experience.
I cannot stress enough how strongly I advise against staying at Olian Hotel Riyadh, even if you are on a budget trip. It was a grave mistake on my part to entrust them with our company's business. I wholeheartedly regret that decision. Save yourself the trouble, frustration, and sleepless nights by finding alternative accommodations in Riyadh. There are undoubtedly much better options available that actually value their guests' comfort and satisfaction.
