Saudi Arabia’s NEOM has unveiled LEYJA, a groundbreaking sustainable tourism haven committed to conserving natural surroundings. Leyja boasts three innovative hotels offering a combined 120 rooms tailored for thrill-seekers, explorers, and individuals pursuing wellness retreats.

NEOM, the modern city in Saudi Arabia, continues to captivate the global audience with its groundbreaking efforts in sustainable tourism. Leyja is a stunning ecotourism destination seamlessly integrated into the natural surroundings.

An Overview of LEYJA

The governing body of NEOM has recently announced LEYJA, a venture that has the potential to redefine the Kingdom's eco-tourism landscape. Located in the heart of NEOM, LEYJA is deeply rooted in history and folklore.

NEOM is part of several mega projects funded by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), all aimed at fostering sustainable regional development in northwest Saudi Arabia.

Leyja Landscape

LEYJA's geographical magnificence spans from the captivating coast of the Gulf of Aqaba and winds inland to form a stunning natural valley. This valley is nestled between mountains soaring up to 400 meters, carved over centuries by the elemental forces of nature and water.

Eco-Friendly Architecture

LEYJA's design reiterates NEOM's unwavering pledge to become a diverse destination. It aligns with the Kingdom's efforts to establish a robust and eco-friendly tourism industry under the Saudi Vision 2030.

Consistent with NEOM's strategy to preserve most of its land as a nature reserve, LEYJA ensures that 95% of its area will be conserved for nature. Using innovative, eco-friendly design and construction techniques ensures the development merges seamlessly with the landscape.

LEYJA's Unique Hotels

Our Habitas, a sustainable hospitality brand, has been selected to oversee the incorporation of three additional properties, adding to its portfolio focused on delivering unique experiences.

Nestled in Leyja, the newest sustainable tourism spot by NEOM in northwest Saudi Arabia, the trio of Our Habitas residences will provide an unmatched expedition for visitors eager to embark on adventures, embrace nature, and delve into cutting-edge wellness experiences.

These properties will collectively offer 120 elegant boutique rooms and suites, with each hotel hosting 40 rooms.

LEYJA Hotels

The Adventure Hotel

Built for active explorers, the Adventure Hotel's design ascends the valley walls like a staircase, mimicking the terrain's natural lines with minimal disturbance. Its unique location, embedded into the cliff top and valley sides, makes it perfect for thrill-seekers.

The Oasis Hotel

Emerging from the rocks, the Oasis Hotel sits prominently at the heart of the valley's largest oasis. It functions as an enchanting gateway to the valley's exploration and discovery. The impressive staircase from the canyon to the property entrance offers unparalleled views of the valley.

The Wellness Hotel

An immersive wellness retreat that promotes longevity. Its reflective facade mirrors the surrounding beauty, allowing the valley's natural passage through the property's center and providing a unique experience for visitors.

Activities and Experiences at LEYJA

Once fully developed, LEYJA will offer various refined experiences and activities. These include fine dining and contemporary restaurants helmed by globally renowned chefs. Wellness facilities and rooftop infinity-style pools across all three properties are also planned.

Guests can anticipate extensive guided walks and exhilarating hiking trails in the valley's dramatic mountain landscapes. Mountain biking and climbing will also be available for those seeking adventure.

LEYJA and Saudi Tourism

With projects like LEYJA, Saudi Arabia hopes to attract 150 million visitors by 2030. Similar initiatives include Soudah Peaks, Trojena, and the Red Sea project.

The Role of Mountain Tourism in Saudi Arabia

Mountain tourism plays a crucial role in Saudi Arabia's tourism strategy. Projects like Soudah Peaks, located on the country's highest peak, and Trojena, where Saudi Arabia plans to host the Asia Winter Games in 2029, are proof of this strategy.

A Significant Addition to Saudi Tourism

LEYJA is the latest brainchild of NEOM and follows the announcement of several other flagship regions. These include Siranna, an ultra-luxury hotel on The Gulf of Aqaba; THE LINE, a cognitive linear city that represents the future of urban living.

Additionally, EPICON, a futuristic luxury coastal resort in Saudi Arabian, and Oxagon, a reimagined industrial city and home to advanced and clean industries.

LEYJA and the Vision 2030 Goals

LEYJA is a reaffirmation of Saudi Arabia's commitment to sustainable tourism. Its unique blend of natural beauty, sustainable design, and exclusive experiences makes it a desirable destination for tourists worldwide.

As part of NEOM's innovative initiatives, LEYJA is helping Saudi Arabia shape its sustainable future and achieve its Vision 2030 goals.
