Gulf Court Hotel Business Bay

I emailed the hotel twice to confirm our stay as we booked via third party - once to Austine Obare and once to the hotel directly, didn't get a reply to either email. Very disappointing The stay overall was fine but started terribly. There was nobody at the front of the hotel to help us take our luggage from the taxi. Then upon check in Elisabeth said we only booked for 1 person. She insisted on charging extra for me and my husband to stay in the same one room. Eventually we found our booking confirmation that showed we booked for 2 people. She didn't apologise for her/the hotels mistake and continued to check us in. Her attitude was so rude and completely ruined the start to our holiday. Room was on the small side but fine Housekeeping was good, ideal location- close to dubai mall by taxi but not by public transport. Breakfast was great, lots of variety.

Nice hotel, nice and clean, nice view, the only thing that matters is that it doesn't even allow guests for a few hours? Why ? The rooms have very small animals like bed bugs and fleas, they bit my legs and it was red for a long time. Of course, the male receptionist does not have good manners. The rooms were very cold and could not be heated, even when the air conditioner was off, it caused me to catch a cold, I had to sit with a blanket all the time, be sure to take winter clothes with you, otherwise you will get sick from the cold.

The Positives 1. We stayed in deluxe room is quite spacious. They provide all the basic necessities you require in the room. 2. It has a nice view of Business Bay Area. 3. Washroom has a bathtub and shower both available. 4. Check in and check out process was quite quick and smooth. Team is quick on their feet to support the customer. 5. Convenient parking spots available. The Negatives 1. Breakfast was disappointing. They take time to refill the buffet and they refill small quantities. if you’ve returned to your seat when they refill, there’s a good possibility that the dish would be almost over again. 2. Quite surprising that any coffee other than regular coffee is chargeable. Not just that, when we requested for a take away cups to take our coffees, we were told we aren’t allowed to take the coffee outside the restaurant.
