4.3Reviews

Description

Valley Qanona or Wadi Qununa is a state park within the Makah region in Saudi Arabia. It is one of the largest valleys in Southern Saudi Arabia and is 108 km long. The valley is diverse in its agricultural crops, which include wheat, millet, and sesame, and is especially famous for palm cultivation.

Location

The exact location of the valley cannot be found on Google Maps, and finding the entrance to it can be tricky. The road is not very clear or clean, and there are obstacles. At certain points, the road is blocked with trees and grass, which is why a 4x4 is recommended.

Landscape

There is a natural lake inside the wadi as well, which makes it a good spot for picnics. Inside the valley, it is peaceful and quiet with the soothing sound of sloshing water and different kinds of birds. Going to the valley in summer is not ideal because of the hot and humid weather at that time. On the other hand, in winters and spring, the weather is ideal for a day trip and makes for an ideal spot for a relaxing outdoor picnic with family.
