Jawatha Park - Hofuf - Eastern Province

Jawatha Park is located about 12 km northwest of Hofuf, in the village of Al-Kilabiyah, Saudi Arabia, and is one of the most interesting places to visit in Al Hofuf. In the middle of the park is a lake which is surrounded by walkways, palm gardens, green grass, and restaurants. On the right side of the main entrance, visitors will find the historic Jawtha mosque which is one of the oldest mosques in Saudi Arabia and a small museum that showcases the history of the kingdom.

Activities 

It is a great amusement park that you can visit with friends and family as it is a child-friendly zone with proper security. You can partake in many fun activities including boat riding and bird watching at the lake. However, the boat ride is very short because the lake itself is not that big. The lake also attracts all kinds of exotic and local birds that make it an ideal place for bird watching and photography. There are also many coffee shops, food stalls, and cafes where you will find everything from light snacks and ice cream to full meals and soft drinks. 

Seating arrangements can be found next to the walkways, along with a good toilet facility. Other than that, the park has a flower garden and a small zoo, where you will see different animals including camels and rabbits. On weekends, the park can get quite crowded as families flock towards the park for picnics and playdates for the kids.
