Description

Al Qarah Mountain, which is also known as "Jabal al Qarah" and "Al Shaban Mountain," is located in the Eastern Province, Al Ahsa, in Saudi Arabia and is a UNESCO world heritage site.

The caves

Al Qarah Mountain is known for its fascinating and unique caves that were formed due to the dissolving process of water-soluble rocks, the collapse of the upper rock layers as a result of abrasion, and earthquake fissures.

Some of the caves in the Al Qarah Mountain are particularly famous, like the Al Nashab cave, which has moderately steady temperatures throughout the year. Some caves are also used to hold workshops for local traditional potters. The caves have 28 tall linear passageways, which are a total of 1.5 kilometers in length.

Some of the most famous caves in the mountain include Bu Saleh, Al Eid, An Naqa, Al Mua'adhamah, and Al Maheub. Locals and tourists love to visit to admire the incredible heritage site and learn about the history by exploring the caves with tour guides.

It is an amazing historical place to visit in Alahasa. The ticket price is too expensive for the small place 50 sr. The need more improvement for the place such as adding coffee shops in the place. The should consider to lower the ticket price.

It's a wonderful place to visit. The caves look magnificent. There are souvenir shop, restaurants and coffee shops at the entrance. Ample parking is available. Entrance ticket is SAR 50 which is bit high.

It was an amazing visit. The place is just amazing. The visit inside the cave will take about 20 minutes. If they provide coffee shops and restaurant inside it would be amazing and more attractive to visit as you pay 50 Sr. for entrance and the place is somehow small. So it will be more worthy to spend more time inside and have a great seatings. Note: you need to pay a ticket before you enter the cave.
