Abha High City - Asir Province

AbhaHigh City is located in Abha, Saudi Arabia and is one of the most visited places in the region. Located at 2200 meters, Abha is famous for being one of the highest cities in Saudi Arabia. Because of its altitude, the temperatures here are milder as compared to the rest of the country. 

Location and Landscape

The Abha High City is located in front of the Aseer national park. Inside the city, the infrastructure gives off a European look. Nestled in the middle of mountains that are riddled with valleys, the city offers fresh air and stunning views of the surrounding hilly areas. Due to its location, this place is also known as the 'High City.' At times the mountains can get foggy with clouds reaching the city, providing tourists with a surreal view. In summers, this is a popular destination for many tourists escaping the desert heat. 

Activities and Facilities

Although the city is going through upgrades, there are still multiple gift shops, restaurants, and coffee shops. There is also an art wall in the middle of the city, in front of which tourists can take their pictures. Some of the food stalls can be expensive and often families bring their own snacks to have a picnic and enjoy the view. A golf cart is available in the city as the walk up can be difficult for children and older people. 

For families wanting to take some time off from the hustle and bustle of central Abhasavour, the atmosphere here is quite peaceful. Cable cars are also installed nearby. The views get even better at night. However, the place can get crowded after 3 pm and visits are recommended during early daytime.
