I stayed at Novotel Makkah Thakher City for 4 nights and I found the whole experience excellent. This is a brand new hotel. It is so quiet and the service is exceptional. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes in the hotel. A super clean gym. I had breakfast everyday which is a must. There is so much to chose from and the food is all fresh. I did have dinner on the last night which was totally amazing. The food was fresh and all carefully sourced bringing you excellent selection of food. I used their shuttle service everyday to get to Mecca Kabaa region. The shuttle is a 24 hour service. I found the staff always friendly and polite. Finally I took their Chauffeur driven car to the airport, which was reasonably priced. Driven to the airport in a stylish comfortable, luxury seated saloon car. Highly recommend this hotel for its value and its high service.

Everything was great about the hotel, but I only stayed 2 days out of 6 and couldn’t get a refund for the rest of the stay, had to leave bc people in Makkah were bothering my wife and making her uncomfortable so we had to cut our visit short and go to Jeddah. Novotel will always be on the top of my list

The overall experience is 8/10 based on: 1. Room: decent, comfy, well decorated, modern, average size (9.5/10) 2. Breakfast: nice and is being changed daily, restrauant is wide, drawback is the bakery (8/10). 3. Staff is very good (9/10) 4. Location is the main drawback however the bus shuttle is every 30 minutes from n to Haram bus station n take around 10-15 minutes duration (7/10). 5. Price is competing other hotels since it offers a good package with really good price (10/10) Overall is a good experience n would choose it again.

Excellent location. Super shuttle service to Haram. Very clean and tidy. Breakfast is delicious. All izz well. I reduced one point on the score for the following reason. I stayed for 3 nights with my wife and 10month old son. While in sleep, my son rolled and hit his head to the solid headboard. Usually hotels like these have headboard made of fabric or foam material. We had to cushion the entire headboard with cushions to avoid further injuries. I hope Novotel makes note of this. Thank you

All in all, it lives up to the brand, experience and comfort. however, i has asked for some room amenities (toothbrush and shaving kit) to be sent and it never got delivered, at all. other than that isolated incident, the entire stay was peaceful. We are aware that the shuttle buses operate every half-hour from 3am to 12am and every hour from 12am to 3am but we did not use the shuttle service as we took taxis readily available.
