We went with high expectations based on the reviews and self description. The good things first, the food is great. Bread is fantastic, homemade, and very fresh. Fish appetizer and lobster appetizer were delicious. Braised ribs just a tiny bit on the sweet side, but super tender and nicely combined with the potato mash. Now to the not so good: - at a place priced like this I expect above average service. That’s not what we got. Twice the waiter been at our table with a clearly empty water bottle sitting there and not asking if we want more, and running away unresponsive when we wanted to order more. - random staff checking in during our meal is disruptive and strange - cutlery is thrown on the table and dishes served all over the place, not up to a standard I’d expect. - the atmosphere (aside of the surroundings outside the building) is the biggest letdown. Fake plastic plants that are falling over and breaking everywhere, cheap garden furniture on the patio, cracking tiles on the floor, that is absolutely not up to the standard this place is trying to sell. In essence, if you sell high class, also deliver, all of it.

Food here is good, portions are big enough and the attention to detail in the plate it's there. On the down side it's the space, decoration looking not really taking care and with an old vibe. Service is also below standard for the price, don't just throw things to the table, if someone asks for Water please ask if they want to be served.

To be honest we only booked this because we wanted to see Maraya. However we were excited to try it since we had to pay 150 SAR in advance per person and had read the hype. We ordered something from the menu and over a half hour later one server told us it wasn’t on the brunch menu and then another came back and said it was but it was part of a multi plate menu. It took over an hour to get the food. From 8 plates ordered in our group, half were served cold. The flavors and presentation were average. We had 4 people attempting to serve our table but they were not communicating with each other. One server was apologetic and comped 2 plates from the menu. We told another server that it took a long time and he blamed it on the kitchen and shrugged. If this is considered fine dining the food and service needs a lot of work. The atmosphere looks like any other brunch place that puts fake plants around… it’s just riding on the fact it’s on top of Maraya.

I dined here few days ago to celebrate my birthday - and it was possibly one of the most perfect restaurant experiences I have had. The team are professional but friendly and the food was obviously - superb. The impressive thing was the consistency across the entire meal. Every single course was delicious and presentation superb, let's say an 9/10 .. every one. Would I recommend? Absolutely. Would I come back? Absolutely.
