Making its debut in 2022, the Shangri-La Jeddah Hotel is the first chain from the Shangri-La Group of luxury hotels and resorts in Saudi Arabia.

Located on the new Jeddah Waterfront along the Red Sea, Shangri-La Jeddah features 203 elegant rooms and suites and 17 luxury serviced apartments.

Once you step inside the hotel, you will notice that the interiors and décors reflect the beauty of the blue sea and sandy beaches outside the property.

All rooms and suites have an air-conditioner, desk, flat-screen TV, fridge, minibar, and safety deposit box. They also feature floor-to-ceiling windows with a patio and a bathroom with a bidet.

Many rooms come with sea views, which can be viewed from an elegantly-designed balcony. Some rooms also feature views of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Jeddah Corniche Circuit

The Shangri-La Jeddah room prices include free use of the hotel swimming pool located on the hotel’s seventh floor, which overlooks the Red Sea. 

Children have their own dedicated kid’s pool as well as supervised indoor and outdoor play areas.

If you want to de-stress and relax, head to the spa, where you can pamper yourself with your choice of massage. You can also unwind at the jacuzzi, sauna, or Hammam.

While i was much looking forward to stay at the hotel with my family . We had our experience ruined before setting foot in our rooms . While my original booking asked to be in the same floor for 3 rooms in which two are connected (for the kids) . As soon as we arrived and asked about the arrangement we asked for and was confirmed with the guest services the day of our booking , we were surprised that that won’t be possible . Instead of trying to accommodate our needs with the same rates we booked with , they Forcibly upgraded us to a higher tier room and charged us the difference of the upgrade which amounted to more then 10,000 SAR !!! The real slap in the face was when I tried to air my frustration to the manager about this ludicrous forced upgrade due to guest services incompetence. The manager who promised to find a way to resolve this , his answer was a 12 piece box of chocolate and a letter . I am telling the manager “ i don’t feel its right to pay for an unwanted upgrade “ and the managers’ answer is a 150 SAR box of chocolate will resolve this !! Over all that , our original booking had 4 beds , the upgraded room reduced it to 3 beds , so they wanted ro charge us for the extra bed !! Is that right ?!

I had lunch buffet today, it was nice a fresh, nice varieties, good life cooking stations. Desserts was so good. Service was very good, the hostess took her time to show me and explain, with a smile . good job. Isam gave gold service too and was attending the table most of the time . I will give 7/10 for the coffee. Customers quality was good. Nice music. Clean parking. I will definitely recommend it.

By All Means, this is the getaway landmark, at the The Spa I had extremely an excellent Destress massage therapy by one of the best therapist, Abdulelah made my experience one of a kind, thanks to his expertise, which was notable, I definitely recommend those who seek to unwind and relax to visit the Spa at The Shangri-La Kurnaysh Jeddah, you wouldn’t miss this timeless Spa, Thanks Abdulelah and many thanks to The Shangri-La for an amazing experience I had at their cozy and rejuvenating Spa !

A Disastrous Stay: The Epitome of Horrendous Customer Service Review: Where do I even begin with my appalling experience at Shangri-La Jeddah. This alleged 5-star hotel was an absolute nightmare that left me questioning the very definition of hospitality. From the moment I stepped foot into this establishment, I was met with a complete lack of professionalism, rampant rudeness, and a shocking display of discrimination and disrespect. First and foremost, the staff at Shangri-La Jeddah seemed to have undergone a rigorous training program in how to treat guests with absolute disdain. Their unwavering ability to ignore guests' needs and concerns was truly remarkable. It felt as though they were doing me a favor by allowing me to grace their presence, rather than providing the top-tier service that one would expect from a supposedly prestigious hotel. The front desk staff, in particular, were masters of condescension and indifference. Their haughty attitudes and dismissive behavior made it abundantly clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority. I was met with curt responses and eye-rolls when I dared to inquire about basic amenities or request assistance. How dare I, a paying guest, have the audacity to expect even a modicum of respect? To add insult to injury, I experienced blatant discrimination during my stay. It was painfully evident that the staff held prejudices, as I witnessed guests being treated differently based on their appearance and background. Not only is this morally reprehensible, but it also highlights the complete lack of diversity training and inclusivity within the hotel's management. Furthermore, the level of unprofessionalism displayed by the hotel staff was beyond comprehension. Simple tasks, such as delivering room service or providing accurate information, seemed to be insurmountable challenges for them. My requests were either forgotten or met with an astonishing level of incompetence. It was as if the staff were selected solely for their ability to disappoint and frustrate guests. In conclusion, my stay at Shangri-La Jeddah was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The appalling customer service, combined with the unprofessionalism, discrimination, and disrespect, ensured that my experience was nothing short of a nightmare. I would strongly advise anyone seeking a pleasant and respectful stay to avoid this hotel at all costs. There are countless other establishments that value their guests and understand the true meaning of hospitality.

In the hotel lobby, I had a cup of coffee. Although the place was beautiful, the staff's treatment did not match it. A staff member in a tactless manner spoke to me and embarrassed me in front of other customers. The experience will not be repeated, and I will not recommend it to others.
