Crowne Plaza Madinah

The rooms are very small comparing to the service provider as crown plaza. The furniture is very old. The mattress is not even and leaning to right side. The need to refurbish the place fully. It's worth 50 % of the money I am paying now. I paid for 3 night but I am leaving to another hotel tomorrow cheaper and much better executive room in less price than this standard room although it's 4 stars but i saw the room and it looks much better. If they maintain this level of building and assets they need to consider themselves as 2 or max 3 stars.

I booked two rooms for one night, and unfortunately, we weren't able to sleep, so we checked out at midnight the same day and had to drive back to Jeddah after we finished our visit to Haram. The rooms were smelly, the carpet was dirty, and air-conditioning was noisy. These things would be acceptable and expected when booking in 4 stars less hotel, but not for 5 stars hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Broken window handle ,so much noise from outside as a result of the window not closing . Called them to fix it but no action was taken.. The shower gel is better to be avoided,it will dry out your skin and I don't have sensitive skin for those who have that may God be with them! Not really a 5 star..maybe 3 at best

I’m a loyal crown plaza customer but my last stay in Crown plaza Madinah I was very unsatisfied. I booked my stay through IHG application like always. When I reach the hotel after a very long drive from Riyadh they informed me that I don’t have a reservation. I show them the confirmation but they say their system doesn’t have it although it was reserved before 2 days. Their first solution was that I have to sort this with IHG application!! To cut it short and after many discussions they solved the problem after sometime while my family and specifically the kids were really tired from waiting in the lobby. Then I asked for extra mattress since our check in at 1 pm, I called 3 times after that until 9 pm we didn’t get it and I saw someone from housekeeping and begged him to get it since my kids want to sleep. The room is very old and very small, I was shocked specially that I stayed in all crown plaza in the kingdom and even in this one before but this was the smallest room I ever saw. There were many other incidents like cleaning the room which didn’t happen even though we stayed 2 days. This is the first time that I will not recommend this hotel, and for sure next time in Madinah is a time to try another hotel.

We booked three rooms and none of these was ready when we arrived. When we did get rooms one had bad smoke stink. That room was changed and changed once again because bathroom was too small. All rooms were not close to the standard you expect for 5 stars establishment. Room service took ages. Room amenities were extremely poor. Beds were uncomfortable. TVs are old style and do not have the facility to mirror. Cleaning staff was good but that did not improve the overall experience specially when you have stayed in ihg properties elsewhere. Building is tired and worn. It is not very close to haram. Breakfast is not bad.
