Al Shourfah Hotel Madinah

Run down and in desperate need of a refit. Beds are small (feet were off the end) and rooms are dirty. Dust everywhere. Lifts have a mind of their own. rooms are rarely cleaned and you have to request for towels to be changed. The showers have minimal pressure. Safes dont work.. breakfast is a joke. AVOID you can find better hotels here. Only positive is its near the haram.

I’ve been in many hotels before in my life, but jiwar hotel was the most unhygienic one. In the first night I found a couple of hairs on the pillow, and on the blanket I saw what seems to be blood. The breakfast was so bad I went to a coffee shop instead of eating there, and lastly the elevators is sooo slow. From my experience I do not recommend any body to stay there.

I stayed at this hotel as it was booked under travel agency. Before I get into the bad points, I have to say the location of the hotel is quite near. Ok here are some of the bad points. I was super disappointed and sad with the conditions of the rooms. It was dirty and small. Imagine small space 22 by 12 feet and it was crammed with 4 single beds with big luggages and 4 adults in that room. There wasn’t any space and room to move at all. Don’t get me started with the quality of food. They served us overcooked rice for 3 meals. There wasn’t much variety at all. Same thing for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Me and my family can’t even consumed it right after our 2nd day here. One more thing the service by this hotel also is bad. I have to ask for towels 4 times before they gave it to us. What kind of a hotel who didn’t provide towels? Food: 1/5 Service: 1/5 Room: 1/5 Cleanliness: 1/5 Location: 4/5

I’m writing this review so that it can be used as constructive critics. No harm intended. Overall Exp : Very Very Poor Food : Bad. both breakfast n dinner, hotdg is 1 of the main dish. Room : Not clean. No cleanup service. Small room but they fit 4 beds anyway. Towel : Not provided. Never in my life a hotel cannot provide towel. Toilet : Not clean. The washroom floor quite dirty with some disgusting stains. The mirror, the sinks, list goes on. And it stinks.

Card system complete failure and the staff on the reception is very rude. Literally will behave as if you are their servants or living for free. At least hire people who are good with talking rather then giving answers rudely on guests face. We have paid you for the room at least you can talk softly. Their rooms are filled with chinch
