I've been wanting to give this place a try since they've opened, but they were always packed and reservations were hard to come by, but I finally got the chance to visit after all this time.
The ambiance and customer service are top notch. I unfortunately didn't get to try some of their famous items since they recently changed their menu.
I was debating on ordering their new wagyu melt (new) or the French dip. I asked the waiter what he recommended and he recommended trying the new wagyu melt. While it was quite delicious, I'm not sure I would order it again. I found myself wishing I tried the French dip instead. Although the wagyu was overcooked (no pink color in sight) it was still juicy from all the marbling of the wagyu, and the bread was toasted to perfection. It was a satisfying dish, but not memorable, not something I would go back for.
My wife ordered the chicken pesto sandwich and really enjoyed it. I thought, similarly to the wagyu melt, it was satisfying but not memorable.
Their drinks were amazing - I had their homemade peach iced tea, and my wife had their Spanish latte. Both really enjoyed our selections.
Up to this point, I would have given them a solid 4 stars and would have felt good about it.. until we got our pancakes.
Now I understood the hype. We ordered the praline pancakes, covered with their homemade marshmallow fluff and topped with a nice, hot praline caramel sauce. This is what people really come for, their sweet/dessert options, and I completely see why. The pancakes were the best I've ever had in Saudi. I would easily come back again and again just for these, and maybe would try the cinnamon pancakes along with it. But the praline pancakes are a must no matter what. These are the kinds of memorable dishes that make you want to come back, and recommend to everyone you know.
