I read a lot of reviews about insufficient seating at breakfast, not enough food and limited lifts / long waiting times for lifts, so I was fully expecting these issues but they were not a problem at all! The breakfast tables were cleaned quickly, and we were never waiting longer than a minute for a lift. The breakfast buffet was limited in choice but enough for all guests.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Very very close to the Masjid Nabawi (3min walk) and the perfect position for the gate closest to ladies entrance into the mosque
CONS:
Small room which looked ok at first glance but there were many things that I would not expect in a 4 star hotel.
Very dusty rooms – the dust could be picked up on my finger.
No ceiling lighting just a few lamps in the room so it felt dark.
The window handles were taken off so the windows could not be opened. I assumed this is for safety reason but as the room was so small it did feel quite stuffy at times, but the aircon worked great.
Toilet seat hinge was broken so it did move around when sitting on it
We had to run the tap in the bathroom (bath and sink) for at least 5-7 mins before the hot water came through. Although once the water came through it was hot, this was incredibly inconvenient and felt like a great waste of water. At one point we called for help because it would not warm up. When the man came he simply said we had to run it for longer, after which eventually the hot water did come through. I know every room is not like this as my parents’ room was fine.
