Not even one star is enough. Used to be good but now the service is so bad. Waited too long for check-in, rooms were dirty, had to change them 3 times, bathrooms dirty, no room service whatsoever. Petty concierge personnel trying to make lives difficult just to prove a point. The worst experience ever. It was embarrassing because I brought 13 guests from abroad with me, only to have the service this bad. I asked for a feedback form so I can raise these issues silently but none was provided. No one seemed responsible, and no one seemed to care that there were these issues. I miss when Pullman zamzam was a good hotel.

This was a terrible experience. Broken shower. No help in getting a new room or repairing the problem. Bugs in the rooms. Lights not working. No temperature control in the air conditioner. I was travelling with family and one night after Umrah the water in the shower was dirty. This was at 2am. Nobody responded to my complaints so I went to reception at 2:30 and spent half an hour trying to get the staff to at least give me a place to shower since they could not resolve the issue. Finally they gave me a room to shower in. This room had bugs in it. Then I had them move me into a new room so that I could have usable running water. Around 5am they sent me to a new room, but when I walked in there were already people living there who I had to have an awkward encounter with. Finally I had them give me yet another room. By this time it was 5:30am. This room like all the others is in bad condition and poorly cleaned. Many of the lights in the room are not working. Worst of all I have seen bugs crawling around this room. Throughout the hotel I have seen many other angry guests and the whole place is in chaos. By far the worst Pullman I have ever stayed in (I am an Accor member and regularly stay in the chain).

Pullman Zamzam Hotel was probably my worst hotel experiment ever, I would give it zero stars if I could but I'm thankful that I had a bed to sleep in and food to eat. The main problems so far are the following: a slow receptionist, terrible room, confusing elevators and bad customer service at the breakfast buffet. The receptionist when we walked in was often distracted and was perplexingly slow. He took an unusual amount of time staring at our papers (though I am not exactly sure he was looking at ours). He also turned away from us to fully help another customer check-in in the middle of us checking in. When we got to our room, however, was when the real horrors began to unfold. Our room stank of heavy body oder that clung to the fabric relentlessly no matter how many deodorizers we used, the smell was in the bedsheets and somehow even the wooden tables and chairs. It is as if this room was never cleaned or wiped down. Moreover, while we were promised a view that framed the Haram what we actually were facing was the construction of it, so it's fair to say we kept our blinds closed. It was also a struggle to find places to charge our phones without some sort of powder adapter. The bedside table as well had sticky handles. The bathroom, however, was the real war zone. Dust covered each and every surface, there was a small hole in the ceiling that was both unsafe and provided peeping toms the chance to abuse it if they ever found it, and there were black dots on the shower curtains that resembled mold. The soaps felt oddly coarse and unpleasant and they did not foam, room service was not as frequent as we would have hoped either. Not to mention the room felt like time stopped somewhere in the 1970's and not in the pleasant way. Another complaint we have is that the hallways smell of "old grandma", I cannot find a more accurate description unfortunately. There is also the matter of the elevators. They are confusing. There are two sections at the reception that split the first chunk of floors and the second. There are also three types of elevators, ones that take you to the shops, ones that take you to your breakfast and mosques and ones that take you somewhere else. Its confusing and specially for the elderly, I wish there were at least signs or maps explaining which elevators where for what. Mostly what I've gathered was due to trial and error and guessing. Lastly the Yasmin and Zahra breakfast buffets were the home of the rudest staff I have encountered. I can't tell if they are simply incompetent or astoundingly rude. At one point, I laid there at the table and stared in pure shock as the staff member who my elderly mother (who was not at the table) was calling out to for help as she was putting food on her plate looked back at her then went back to facing forward and walked away at a quicker pace than she could match. When cleaning the tables this staff almost made it a point to create more noise by clanging and banging each utensil and plate. It was honestly a headache-inducing and embarrassing experience. This was not worth paying for breakfast as the food was mediocre and underwhelming at best. We havent checked out yet but we do not plan on ever coming back or setting foot in this hotel. Personally I would have left earlier but we already paid for the room. *edit: im currently trying to post the pictures but its proving to be a bit challenging due to WiFi. Which, another thing, why is it that we can't really log into the WiFi??

It’s midnight and I’m writing a review. This should tell you how bad this stay has been. We are Currently staying at the Pullman whilst we perform our umrah. Booked 2 rooms for 7 people. We were supposed to get 2 suites. Instead we got a ridiculously small duplex and a ‘suite’ with a broken toilet and which smelt of urine. Unbelievable. After complaining we were then given 2 suites. The first didn’t have enough beds, Or bathroom amenities (towels, loo rolls, shower gel or soap) so we had to go buy our own. The room wasn’t cleaned for days despite several requests. And then when someone did show up, they couldn’t do the whole room because they were too busy. Half the plugs didn’t work and the room looked like it was worn out. The second suite didn’t have working air conditioning or curtains that closed- letting light in so we couldn’t sleep. Did I mention that I’m writing this review at midnight? this is because our room is ridiculously hot due to the non working AC. Same issue with bathroom amenities - if three people are sharing a room, they need more then one 25ml shower gel bottle!! Plugs and lights inside the room didn’t work properly, and the whole room smelt of old cooking. Despite multiple requests to have someone come and fix the air conditioning, no one turned up. Oh and the room wasn’t cleaned daily, more like every three days. Just horrible. How can someone treat people like this. It’s so bad. These rooms were expensive and what should have been a stress free stay with a reputable company turned out to be wholly disappointing.

The hotel is rather disappointing as the rooms lack something. They seem dated and not well maintained. We stayed her for 1 night on arrival in a classic 2 bedroom so not sure if the suits would be better. Still good but gets really busy and lifts are difficult to get. Taken the above into account this hotel is not worth staying at as there are better options for the same price. Service is the worst at this hotel than any other hotel I have stayed at. I would avoid at all costs and stay at another site in the clock tower. Don't waste your money.
