Absolutely Terrible Experience at Dar Otel Arar.
I had a horrendous experience at Dar Otel in Arar, Saudi Arabia. I booked through Agoda, paying fully in advance ( 237 Saudi Riyal ) for a specific room type described on the site. Upon arrival, the reception staff bluntly stated they had no association with Agoda and were extremely rude and unhelpful. Despite my booking confirmation, they showed me three completely different rooms, none of which matched the connecting room setup with one king bed and two twin beds I had booked for my family. There were no connecting keys available, and frankly, it seemed like such rooms didn't even exist at this hotel.
The rooms I was shown were dirty, smelled awful, and furnished with very old furniture. It was immediately clear that staying there was not an option for my family. When I asked for a refund due to these discrepancies, the staff flatly refused and were harsh about it, wasting an hour of my time.
I ended up finding a much better place in the same city, where we could actually enjoy our stay. This experience at Dar Otel was nothing but a display of cheating and misrepresentation by the hotel and booking site. For anyone considering this hotel, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. You'll save not just your money, but your peace of mind as well. This hotel is truly the worst place you could choose to stay.
