Carlton Al Moaibed Hotel

Had a reservation to watch the Saudi game today at Habak restaurant. Ordered coffee, tea and water at the beginning of the game & it came after half time (50 minutes later) Then ordered a falafel sandwich and a kunafa and an hour later the food did not arrive. I asked, and they didn’t even punch the order in & we never got our food. Very understaffed, you have to call them 100 times to take an order which does not arrive. This is a very bad experience. Wont ever come back again. The quality and service is SO bad. Its a shame to see carltons dropping below the acceptable standards.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. In general, the current reviews for the last week, collected together, reflect this state. Including the presence of dampness, daily degaussing of room cards. And on the night before departure, they managed to please us with a fire alarm that went off because of smokers. Actually smoking could be felt in advance from the ventilation system. In superior rooms (3rd floor) you can find a worn and damaged interior, a dirty phone and lamp, stains on a towel and bed, fungus on the joints of tiles in the bathroom. After the pool, you will have nowhere to dry things, as there are no railings in the bathroom, not to mention a heated towel rail. The swimming pool in general is ok, however the windows of the restaurant overlook it and also the water pool is under the restaurant but is the pool cleaned at this place? Breakfast here is poor in terms of choice, the cook helps out, making an omelet. It is also problematic to get at the reception at least some kind of statement about staying at the hotel, even just indicating the dates.

One of the worst hotels I’ve been to. Stuff is not trained to deal with guests, room service are asking for a payment onsite because they are afraid if you left without paying your bill, rooms are not clean and having noisy AC.

I do not recommend this hotel! Upon first entering the room everything seemed fine. However, the coffee mugs and the tray were dirty, the bathroom door looks like something that came out of a horror movie, some of the toiletry items that they provided have already been used by previous tenants, the towel they gave us was ripped, the laundry bag was full of hair, and the desk chair has seen better days and traces of molds can be seen all over the room.

Unfortunately this hotel is slowly dying, It’s not what it used to be just a few years ago. Stayed for 2 nights, In both rooms we stayed in the furniture was worn out and the carpet was dirty even though these are “deluxe recently renovated rooms”. No valet parking no bellboy, room service is not available during dinner due to “staff shortage”. ( you have to call many times for them to answer ) I asked for an electric adapter the first night they refused to send me one the next day I asked someone else he provide me with 2 All the old mangers and staff members aren’t there anymore, the current staff have difficulty in anything you request even if you forget/lose your room key/card. ( they don’t provide you with a new one, they send you someone to open with the master key). Breakfast was a big joke, the Lebanese restaurant was just acceptable. I reserved one of the ballrooms for an event. (the service was non existent they provided 1 employee to serve 300 ++ people. Fortunately his manager came down to help him towards the end) This hotel has all the potential to strive but unfortunately is failing to do so.
