Azade Hotel

A welcoming Multilingual receptionist, the restaurant has a super nice view but the breakfast wasn’t that good! The room we booked was nice but some kid painted it with his own opera d’arte! They should’ve take care of covering or whipping it out.

My stay was for 10 days, the staff at Azade are like non other. The most helpful, friendly and kind people I have met. They made Sultan Ahmet feel like a second home. In specific Umut for being the most beautiful and kind soul & Sinan for being the most helpful and kind person ever! Thank you heaps Azade! The family appreciates you all and will miss you!

Good location and very friendly staff. I turned up without any notice as I missed my connecting flight back home so ended up staying in Istanbul. My relatives had already checked in as they planned to stay at the hotel for a few days so when I arrived they managed to give me and my family a room for the night as nothing else was available. It would mean I would need to check out the next day but after my breakfast I checked at the reception and luckily for me 2 rooms freed up so I booked them immediately for the rest of my stay. I did not like the options available during breakfast but otherwise ideal location in the Sultan Ahmet area. Very close to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia Mosque as only around 5-10 mins walk away. Once again the staff were very accommodating at the reception and made me feel very welcome in Istanbul. I didn't have a planned stay but turned out to be a blessing in disguise as I had a very pleasant time once I settled in at the hotel and the kids loved the city. I would definitely stay at the hotel again due to the staff's welcoming and meeting my requests in a tricky situation. They also spoke good English which helped us a lot with the communication when we wanted information about what to do at the city and places to visit. Also the room service ladies were very friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work. :) I would definitely visit Istanbul again and would not hesitate at all to use this hotel in the future.

I stayed for one night on the 12th July. We booked a dulux superior sea view room at £97. I will start with the pros. The location is very central, everything around opens till late. The receptionist Sinan is very polite and very helpful. The building itself is lovely, with nice details especially in one of the elevators with the wooden door and mirror interior. The rooms are outdated, in need of repair and in need of a deep clean. The room is in no way superior, nor dulux nor a sea view. It is a standard room with a partial sea view. To see the sea, you have to stand in the window. And half the sea is blocked by a building next door. Sinan tried his best to show us his other available rooms but they were worse for wear and we understood that the title dulux has been given to a general room that was an overreach. The room was not cleaned well but after a generous tip to the cleaners, they came back and did it again. I understood that the people before checked out late and in a rush to prepare the room, the ladies didn’t clean very thoroughly. After all this, we were too tired to go out for lunch, thankfully Sinan helped us order in, we appreciate that. The top floor has a terrace with a view of the sea but the windows haven’t been cleaned in a long time so it’s foggy to see, a shame. Breakfast was a disappointment. The only thing that saved it was the homemade cake that the cook made the day before, delicious and saved the breakfast. All in all, nothing special about the hotel, £97 is way too much for this place. The hotel offered me a 25£ refund after I complained to agoda about the room and they called the manager. Would stay again if the room is priced at 55/60 a night, no more really.
