I stayed here this Hajj season with my mom and sisters. I'm extremely pleased with the warm attitude of the staff from housekeeper to receptionists. Always ready to assist. The location is only a few steps away from gate 79 of Haram and the new expansion. It's connected to mall underneath it which also offers food selection (though i find quite limited compared to clock tower area). The main plus point for me is even when it's fully booked, it's not densely packed with human (again comparing with clock tower area). So it's a rather peaceful journey going to haram and returning to your room. Price of room was the same with or without breakfast. Wish they have more variety of asian meals (fried rice? Fries noodles?) though the meal choices may already reflect their customers demographic. If I'm returning to Makkah, Insha Allah Hyatt Regency will be my top choice for accommodation. Service, food and the condition of the hotel and rooms are great. However, it is quite a distance to get to the Mosque as they close off most of the entrances and direct you to the extension. Location is a key factor and there are probably better located hotels which will allow you to get into the Gharam.

Having stayed in this hotel and other hotels in Jabal Omar,we chose to return to Hyatt because of their spectacular breakfast. Special thanks to Parvez who went out of his way each morning to make our breakfast enjoyable. The rooms are spacious,has plenty of natural light and all the staff including housekeeping are delightfully pleasant.

Rooms are great and the furniture is in great new shape EXCEPT for the carpets! They're very dull and look and feel so worn out and not vacuumed regularly enough!! It's worth noting that there's no fridge nor a coffee station in the room. The breakfast buffet is huge quantity but average in quality. However, location is top and service is outstanding.
