DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! LOST OVER $1000. LOCATION IS NOT WORTH IT.
We booked a suite for 3 nights and had to leave after the first because of how dirty it was. There were stains on the couch, doors, beds, carpets, furniture… literally everywhere. We couldn’t even use the bathroom in peace because of all the mold growing in there. The “kitchenette” had no plates/cups/spoons - it was literally empty and also cupboards were falling apart, tiles were cracked. We even asked for a plate and they said no. When we raised our concerns to the manager, they offered to move us to another room… with the same issues…. They essentially said the issues are standard in a classic room and if we didn’t want these issues, we’d have to pay for a renovated room. I was already paying $600 night, and for a supposedly 5 star hotel, this is not what I was expecting. Also no amenities provided like shampoo, lotion, iron, slippers (which we didn’t mind anyway, but if you are expecting any amenities don’t stay here.) There must be a few decent rooms that a few lucky people get, but it’s not worth the risk to book here.
We then checked out after the first night because it was so bad. I was told we’d be charged for the first night and not the subsequent two nights. The manager assured me that there would be no problems and they’ve put a note in the system not to charge the second two nights. I was charged for all 3 nights. I was also given an email address to contact if there were issues with the charge. I’ve sent about 5 emails in the past week and have not heard back.
So I’ve lost over $1000 for the two nights because of this. Guests are better off booking literally any other hotel in the clock towers or even outside them since the gates closest to the clock towers are under construction anyway.
EDIT: After one month of back and forth with various email addresses and phone numbers, I was able to get a refund for the last two nights of my stay.
