Grand East Hotel

This is absolutely one of the best options to choose if you are looking to stay in a hotel with your family in Dead Sea. *Rooms: We book suites room and deluxe room both are with sea view. *Pools: Kids enjoyed staying in the pools area there are 4 pools + ladies area it’s separate with full privacy. *Dinner and Breakfast: I would rate it 7/10

We stayed one night at this hotel. The rooms are old-fashioned but nice overall, and if you happen to be on the second floor you can enjoy an exceptional view of the Dead Sea. Unfortunately, the check-in experience was excruciatingly long and the process was very chaotic. Moreover, the parking lot is a nightmare, always crowded and not at all optimized to host that many cars. Overall, it was the least pleasant and authentic stay in Jordan by far.

We liked the staff who were very friendly. The guy at the lobby bar was very kind and made sure we were taken care of. The waitresses at the breakfast was also amazing. The dedicated beach for the Dead Sea was also good. The rooms were a little bit old though and the swimming pool was very cold we couldn't use it. They need to temperature-control those so you can use them. We also lost money in the room but the management said that they have no record of anyone accessing the room while we were at the beach.

The Grand East resort & Spa sets a new low for 4-star hotels all around the world. Mediocre service, tasteless food and bad up-keep all over. The only aspect maintained of 4-stars is the pricing. Was shocked to find worn out furniture, & chipped plates. The food was the biggest disapointment, but it seems to be a common issue all over Jordan.

Other what was said in most of the reviews I want to add that the shower cord leaks 90% of the water and then 10% is used , and sink hot water is right not left as standard but shower hot water is on the left and cold should and is always right 😉.. AC , is either off or continuously on 😡😡😡😡.. Hotel definitely needs renovation and upgrading. TV remote control needs battery cover and TV channels are not so much interesting, even some channels are not so clear . I skipped lunch dinner and breakfast so can’t say anything but I got a light sandwich which was good. House Keeping should not knock on doors at 9 am , and wait until checked out . Needs Constant cleaning attention because many guests are ignorant and brings the mud and water while walking in the hotel carelessly from beach or swimming pools. Staff are well trained and well mannered. It’s a typical 3 plus star hotel but if they upgrade the hotel it would be a 4 star plus . Internet connection in the lobby is real good and fast but other areas it’s a disaster . Very slow and not really reliable. 4 G reception is outside the hotel , but in the rooms it’s 3 G.
