Today, I visited IL Baretto, an Italian restaurant located in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), amidst beautiful and splendid spring weather. The restaurant is situated in KAFD Zone 5, conveniently close to ground parking, the KAFD plaza, and the stunning mosque at the center.
The restaurant is luxurious, unique, beautiful, very tidy, and suitable for both family and business occasions. It offers live music in the evening and is bustling with patrons daily. As a high-end establishment, the prices are among the higher range in Riyadh.
The menu caters extensively to food connoisseurs, from meats to various pastas and gnocchi, extending to soups, pizzas, and other Italian specialties. There's also a special menu for desserts and assorted beverages.
We were greeted with a basket of bread for selection, including sourdough and focaccia among other types. The bread was fantastic, especially when tried with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
To start, we ordered the burrata salad with tomatoes, beautifully flavored with basil and mint. We also tried the mozzarella pizza, a personal benchmark for assessing new Italian restaurants. The pizza met my expectations with its crispy dough and harmonious ingredients, leaving no piece uneaten.
We also had the four-cheese gnocchi pasta, a strong-flavored delight for cheese enthusiasts. It might not suit everyone, but it's wonderful for those who appreciate a robust cheese flavor.
Additionally, we ordered uniquely flavored, large-sized fries different from any other restaurant.
For dessert, we opted for the classic Italian tiramisu, which was creamy, delicious, and sufficient for three people.
The restaurant staff was exceptional, from reception to service, follow-up, and even during payment and farewell. Everyone was attentive, with quick and comfortable service.
IL Baretto is worth visiting for special occasions. The restaurant's design is extremely luxurious, and the table arrangement is excellent, with a bar in the center dividing the dining halls into three separate areas, offering good privacy. As mentioned earlier, the prices are high, but they are in line with similar high-level restaurants in terms of quality and prestige.
My gratitude goes to the management and staff for a wonderful experience. I will certainly be visiting again.
