I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Riyadh Airport Marriott Hotel during a business trip. While the accommodations were wonderful (clean rooms, well maintained common areas and grounds, and guest services), the area that I have the most praise for is the staff. Every staff member I came into contact with always offered a greeting and a warm smile and were eager to offer assistance when needed.
This was a long-term stay (approximately 6 weeks) and I became familiar with many of the staff. There are several staff members I would like to recognize for exceptional service: Cherry Ann, the woman who works morning to afternoon shift at the hotel coffee bar. After a difficult day at work, she not only offered up coffee and snacks, but also offered up a warm smile and cheerful personality that will brighten your day.
The food in the restaurant (thanks to the culinary talents of the chef!) was outstanding. A wide variety of main courses, breads, deserts, and fresh fruits were available daily for all three meals. The entire dining staff was also exceptional, from the Matre d during the breakfast meal, who would warmly greet me by name, to the evening server (Zainab) who was always smiling and happy and seemed to be able to anticipate what I needed before I even requested it!
If you're in Riyadh and have business near the airport or visiting on holiday/vacation, you will not regret staying at this hotel. I know I didn’t, and I will be returning here on my next business trip.
