As a frequent traveler spending upto 100 nights a year in hotels, my recent stay at a supposedly reputable four-star chain left me utterly appalled. These brands are supposed to be synonymous with low variance in quality, but this particular establishment fell far short of the mark.
To be blunt, the place was a hygiene nightmare. They had dead animals in their water reservoir, and instead of handling it properly, they simply scattered the remains across the lawn, resulting in a nauseating stench. But the roden problem was not limited to the water reservoir. The kitchen staff also showed a blatant disregard for cleanliness, handling food with bare hands, in front of guests, and reusing napkins between customers.
To top it off, my room was infested with a monstrous spider in the bed. Though I managed to rid myself of the unwelcome guest, in retrospect, it may have been wiser to let it stay and handle the other pests.
In summary, my experience at this chain was nothing short of abysmal. It calls into question the integrity and commitment of the entire brand if they cant keep better control of the management at their hotels.
