This is definitely not like the other Holiday Inns you might have experienced, the standards are very low at this one.
The hotel has a grand reception and few shops and a coffee shop too. There is free bus service available to the Haram and back to the Hotel. There is swimming pool available in the Hotel and few paid massage chairs.
Our room had an ironing board and an iron which helped us and made it easy for us.
- There was no room service, we saw the room service guys near our room and asked them, they said we have to call the reception and request for room service and they will send someone which will be as per their own schedule and you will have to wait in the room.
- The fire alarm rings randomly and the lifts don't work at that time.
- Some of the rooms have no windows, so no fresh air.
- The rooms are definitely not checked before allocating them to the customers, our room had 1 lamp which was not working and the washroom was not filled with all the toiletries.
- The room key would often stop working and we had to take it back to the reception to have it working again.
- All the walls of the room are made of gypsum which was not solid wall, so you can hear the doorbell from other room and it will feel as if it rang in your room, sometimes you will also hear people in the other room talking because of the thin walls.
- Bus is available every 30 minutes to take you to the Haram
