I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn during the Hajj season, and I wanted to share my experience here. While there were some positive aspects of my stay, there were also some areas that need improvement.
Firstly, I was disappointed to find that the TV in my room did not have live Mecca and Madina channels. Despite raising this issue with the hotel staff on multiple occasions, nothing was done to address it. This was particularly frustrating as I stayed at the hotel for 20 days. I believe this is a poor IT job and the hotel should ensure that guests have access to the channels they need.
Secondly, I found the internet speed to be slow, which made it difficult for me to work remotely. Additionally, my room had a poor cellular network, and when I raised this issue with the staff, they suggested that I come downstairs to the lobby to work. This was not a practical solution, and I believe the hotel should have been better prepared for the increased demand during the Hajj season.
Thirdly, I found the elevator system to be confusing for new guest, and the capacity of the elevators was poor during the Hajj season, which resulted in long waits. Upon my arrival, I had difficulty finding my room as the worker who assisted me could not tell me which section of the hotel my room was in.
Lastly, I found the food buffet to be repetitive, with the same selections for breakfast and dinner every day. After staying at the hotel for 20 days, I became bored with the food, and I believe that adding some variety would go a long way in making guests happy.
I hope that you will consider my feedback and work to improve these areas in the future.
