Crowne Plaza Madinah

I’m a loyal crown plaza customer but my last stay in Crown plaza Madinah I was very unsatisfied. I booked my stay through IHG application like always. When I reach the hotel after a very long drive from Riyadh they informed me that I don’t have a reservation. I show them the confirmation but they say their system doesn’t have it although it was reserved before 2 days. Their first solution was that I have to sort this with IHG application!! To cut it short and after many discussions they solved the problem after sometime while my family and specifically the kids were really tired from waiting in the lobby. Then I asked for extra mattress since our check in at 1 pm, I called 3 times after that until 9 pm we didn’t get it and I saw someone from housekeeping and begged him to get it since my kids want to sleep. The room is very old and very small, I was shocked specially that I stayed in all crown plaza in the kingdom and even in this one before but this was the smallest room I ever saw. There were many other incidents like cleaning the room which didn’t happen even though we stayed 2 days. This is the first time that I will not recommend this hotel, and for sure next time in Madinah is a time to try another hotel.

Receptionist assigned my room to some other guest and they walked in while I was taking a shower. Like what kind of hotel does that. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS HOTEL SUCKS. if you coming from western countries please avoid this hotel at any cost.

Absolutely pathetic and horrendous hotel. I don't know why it is considered a five star it's not even one star hotel. They don't even provided sugar or tea sachets in the room. We had a three year old baby and they gave us a room with two single beds and no cot. Dirty and ugly tiny rooms. You will feel suffocated. Beds are old. Overall vibe is depressing. I will never recommend it to anyone neither I am ever in my life coming here again InshaaAllah. They should pay people to stay here rather than taking money from them. Absoulty worst experience.

I had booked a double room but was given a twin room. The beds were joined later after multiple requests. The room is poorly maintained and the shower barely works. Has a feel of an old motel. Totally not worth the money. The location is great. If there is another option nearby, I’d certainly recommend to not book Crowne plaza.
