My first experience at this restaurant was in Dubai…in basic it was Emirati food ..
I went to Riyadh branch for breakfast.. they have outdoor seating and indoor…
Since the weather was great obviously we picked the outdoors..
Breakfast platters prices were reasonable enough for 2-3 persons (85) SAR I guess ..served with two cups of tea or karak( tea with milk and spices)
We added a pot of tea plus khameer bread which is basically a deep fried dough…
The service was great and staff was friendly..

Al Fanar restaurant is my favorite place since I was in Dubai. I liked the hospitality of this branch here in the zon, and the ambiance is amazing with vintage interior design and elements. The music is matching with the vibes and I felt am back to 60's
The food is just amazing, I visited many times for breakfast and Ramadan iftar.

Ambience of Dubai in the 1960's, and with the taste of Authentic Emirati Cuisine, this restaurant is trying to revive the memories of old Dubai.
The ambience is traditional, not very spacious restaurant. I tried several food on the menu and it was a very unique experience for me.
They are serving some neat looking breakfast too but I haven't tried them yet.

Place was okey with no specials. Atmosphere was good. Chairs weren’t comfortable, noisy when move it and pads not fixed. AC on the 2nd floor was terrible so hot. No elevator and it is really long way up by stairs. Bathrooms and hand washing basins are up.
Our order was Salatat Jarjeer ( Rocca Salat ),Margougat Laham ( Beef stew with veggies ), Samak Tanour ( Fish grilled inside closed oven ) and Laban.
There was a welcoming beans( Baleelah ) for free and was ordinary. Salad served without dressing and zero lemon up. Margougat Laham was sticky, smelly, thick and beaf was really hard to eat. Samak served with white rice and small bowl of fish stew, it was a disaster, super smelly and skin was full burned, tasteless at all. Rice need to be cooked more. Laban wasn’t made in correct way, it was a yogurt and water only not the salted one. Price little high but ok. In general it wasn’t a Gulf cuisine, it was near to Egyptian ones. I’m a foodie and I know how the food should be cooked.
Finally, I just want to say this place is not recommended, and I will never come again, it was really dissatisfied and bad experience to me. And big thanks for the friendly staff they were really awesome.
