Hôtel Violet - La Mecque Réclamer

This place is horrible. The concierge said we would get gym facilities as compensation. Made us wait for hours just do deny entry. The staff are incompetent. Take your money somewhere else. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. The room was decent, it smelled kinda funky. The hotel looks good but the staff are rude. Looks aren’t everything.

Shuttle service to Haram towards the old bus stand salam gate. Breakfast is good. Grocery stores are little away across the road. The parking space inside the hotel is very steep. Rooms are neat and clean. The staff is welcoming.

A 3 night stay, moved here from Karim Hotel which is not far away and was a fabulous stay but has limited services so I very reluctantly cut my stay there short and moved to Violet Hotel to access services such as breakfast, laundry, kids club and shuttle bus to Haram. Sadly practically every member of staff I encountered from the concierge, to receptionist at check-in, the breakfast reception and staff, kids club reception were incredibly rude, unwelcoming and unhelpful. The reception staff would rather use their mobile phones than assist guests at reception or simply exclaim they do not speak English. A hotel that has staff with no manners or courtesy to welcome their guests is not where I want to stay. On the plus side the bell boy and room service was excellent and delivered with courtesy so thank you to them and I was able to check in an hour early. Be mindful that items like hand towels, shower mat and/slippers are not provided as standard (the bathroom gets wet due to having no shower door) which is odd for a hotel of this standard. Shower room does not facilitate hair washing or children. You just have one shower head and a tap. Breakfast is abundant but caters to local taste with little to no continental breakfast options. Sadly I will not return, predominantly due to the poor attitude and welcome from majority of staff. I am inclined to return to Karim hotel to finish my stay in Makkah before flying back to the UK so I can leave with a pleasant experience. Finally I hope staff are paid appropriately and are not being overworked.

This hotel is totally value for money I stayed two nights Very good room with nice view Good breakfast especially danish pastry i will miss it Very Good and welcoming crowd/guests staying along Every hour there is shuttle service to haram Allhamdulliah i am happy

Rude and careless staff I booked a week ago, and check-in is from 2 pm; I arrived at 5 pm. They told me that the room is not ready! I argued that I booked ahead and came 3 hours after check-in time! But no apology, no explanation from the lady at the front desk.. she told me to come after 15 min.. 30 min later, still the room is not ready! I asked how much time it'll take, another lady at the front desk told me that she could not say exactly!! I had to go to Haram with my exhausted wife and kids and come back in the night. In the night, I met another receptionist who was yawning at me with a very careless attitude. Finally, we accessed the room. In the morning, I asked for an iron, I called the front desk twice, and I asked 3 different room service employees. Nothing happened! Just promises that ok we will send it. At noon, after waiting for so long, I lost hope and checked out with crumbled clothes! After 10s reviews, this is my first negative review about the staff and management, not the facilities.
