Shang Palace is by far the best modern Chinese restaurant and only place in Jeddah that offers a glimpse into what real modern Chinese fine dining is all about. The ambiance is wow, beautiful carpets, wood panelled walls with traditional vases display and great lighting for the dining everywhere give it that intimate modern Chinese dining room feel. Kudos to the front of the house team and to the chef especially Chef Keith Yap he really passionate about making unforgettable food and great dining experience for each guest. The food is excellent, was there to try their new Shang Palace Dim Dum brunch series and were absolutely delighted with the food. It's unlimited course of dim sum, few mains in the menu to choose from and a dessert for closing of our meal. Loved all the dim sum and the Hong Kong style chicken. It's a must-try place, great for special occasions.

The food was amazing, the service was very great and the prices were reasonable, Rohan was exceptional, he accommodated all our requests and did more then what we wanted. They offered an amazing cream brule with passion fruit. I highly recommend it.

Great view, atmosphere and terrific service. The food however didn’t impress me as much. The calamari was greasy and chewy. The duck was OK at best and didn’t offer a real pekin duck experience. They cut the flesh with the skin to be wrapped. The flesh is chewy and the skin not that crisp. I would prefer being served the skin only and the flesh turned into another dish like how it should be. The noodles where good but nothing special. One thing that bothered me a lot is the valet service. This is an upscale restaurant in the city’s best hotel and yet they dont offer free valet for some reason.

I had an outstanding experience at this restaurant. Right from the start, Jana’s warm welcome set a positive tone. The menu was extensive and offered a wide variety of choices. Every dish I tried was delicious, generously portioned, and presented beautifully. The service was top-notch throughout, ending in Sari’s heartfelt goodbye as he wished me a pleasant evening. As of now, this is my top choice for dining in Jeddah.
