Wirgan Hotel Al Azizyah

We arrived in Makkah and went to the Wirgan Hotel. The environment here is very beautiful. They treated us well. Hotel fares are very low

This is an amazing hotel. Absolutely wonderful. The staff is proficient in English. They are very responsive. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Room service is wonderful. Overall a very good experience.

Check in was not smooth at all, we waited at least an hour for our room as if they were not expecting us. No reminder emails leading up to the day of check in like most hotels do. The room was gorgeous however, incredibly clean and modern and huge. We got the family suite which was well worth it. The service was slow and difficult to communicate anytime we needed additional waters for example. The breakfast was okay, not awful but not great either. The shuttle is tiny and only operates at prayer times which makes it quickly fill up. Getting on was a little hectic due to everyone rushing to get a spot. I mostly used Uber/taxi/Careem at my own expense for the flexibility. The lobby and interior is gorgeous and the location is not too far from the haram however next time I will stay closer to it inshallah.

It was 355 SAR for the night- I paid with a single 500 SAR note and they kept the change as a deposit. The next day on checkout reception advised me I had only paid 400 SAR so would only get the difference. Either I was scammed or someone messed up, hoping it was the latter as I didn’t expect this in the holy city.

The hotel is good and clean with helpful staff. It has shuttle bus service to Al Masjid Al Haram, however it is only before and after the main prayers. Some times the shuttle is allowed to get through the last tunnel to reach the closest spot to Al Masjid. Taxis are available 24/7. Overall, it was good stay and would like to visit it again Insha’Allah
