Mercure Corniche Al Khobar

I went there with my family for breakfast buffet on Friday . The ambiance and view is nice but very bad Experience Really .with Buffet No omelette station . No coffee machine . Poor hot dishes , salad items very limited . Bakery section ? Welcoming of the Team not friendly . If u Greet him he don’t reply . He Talk with you while his seating . No Respect at all . I was really chucked . I hope the Management will look seriously about it .

I am a Platinum member of Accor. During a business trip, We were staying in Novotel Dammam Business Park for a few days. For a meeting in Al Khobar, we booked Mercure Al Khobar to be near the meeting area and canceled our stay in Novotel. I booked a room for 2 male adults with 2 single beds. Upon arrival, the receptionist did not greet and just asked for ID. The customer service at reception was unprofessional. As a Platinum member, we were not provided with member benefits. Key cards were given in hand without key card holders. The allocated room was a room with a double bed only, and there was only one towel, one blanket, one toothbrush, one cup, etc... in the room. There was no personalization or a greeting card or welcome gift / basket available in the room for Platinum members. We felt we were in a local non-branded hotel and not in A Mercure Hotel. The furniture was old. The chair was broken. Requested for a room with 2 beds, but reception refused it. Requested to provide amenities for 2nd guest in the evening, and we were told that it would be provided, but when we returned back in the night, no amenities were provided. Requested the reception again to at least provide a blanket for the 2nd guest. When the housekeeping employee visited our room in the night, we requested him to provide amenities, and he provided them. My colleague slept on the sofa because he do not share the bed with others, the sofa was not a convertable sofa bed, and he had pain in his neck and back when he woke up. Upon complaining to reception, they do not care. The hotel needs to improve its customer service and treatment with loyal members. I regret I canceled my extended stay in Novotel and booked Mercure.

Honestly, my worst experience ever, i am attending a course here, and the course was literally set up in the corridor. It's the worst organisation i have ever seen. Even when they changed the location, it wasn't adequate and not set to accommodate the participants number

A huge disappointment and total waste of money. NOT AT ALL A 5 STARTS EXPERIENCE!! Went to the sea view restaurant for lunch buffet with my family. Have had better and delicious buffet at local non star restaurants. It was supposed to be a farewell party. Ended up so disappointed here. The food here was blunt cold and had no taste. Only 5 variety in the main courses. Empty trays and waiters neglecting to refill. There was a lot of noice of waters moving tables and chairs around while the guests were eating.

Definitely waste of time and money. Rooms have poor insulation. You can literally hear every word the guests in the neighboring rooms saying due to bad insulation. Worst part is help-desk people. They dont answer your call and when you talk to them, they just say we will do it and never happen. I spent 3 nights. The first two nights went ok, but the third night was horrible. There were new guests in my neighboring room that i could hear everything there were talking about. I talked to the receptionist about that and they ignored my call, I went down to talk to them, they just kept saying we will come to u soon.... and nothing happened. Could you imagine calling the receptionists at what they advertise to be a 4-star hotel and they don't answer??? And when you go down to talk to them, they say they will bring someone to help, and no one shows up.... In addition to all of that, the rooms have old furniture and the TV remote was not working... I kept the "clean my room" card on the door for a whole day and no one cleaned the room. I had to talk to them about that as well. Very disappointing!!! I highly recommend booking here if you only want to have a horrible stay... I wish Google would allow me to rate less than 1.
