Masjid ShuhadaUhud est une célèbre mosquée située à seulement 10 minutes de route d'Al Masjid Nabawi à Médine. Cette mosquée tient une place sacrée dans l'Islam et attire de nombreux visiteurs chaque année.

La mosquée est considérée comme un point de repère historique vital par les musulmans car c'est là qu'une bataille très importante dans l'Islam, la bataille d'Uhud, a eu lieu. Les disciples de Muhammad (PSL) qui ont combattu avec lui dans la bataille d'Uhud sont enterrés à côté de la mosquée. Parmi eux se trouve Hazrat Ḥamzahibn Abd al-Muṭṭalib, qui était un compagnon et un oncle cher du Prophète. Il est enterré près du mont Uhud dans le cimetière des martyrs d'Uhad.

Les pèlerins viennent rendre hommage aux martyrs, notamment pendant le mois de Ramadan. Debout à la célèbre colline de l'Archer, les musulmans vivent un éveil spirituel et peuvent remonter le temps en imaginant la bataille qui se déroule devant eux.

Disposition

Constituée de pierres blanches, cette mosquée possède un dôme et deux minarets. Du sud, la mosquée est partiellement cachée par le Jabal Ramah, tandis que le mont Uhud est clairement visible derrière la mosquée.

Mélange d'architecture traditionnelle et moderne, Masjid Shuhada Uhud est la plus grande mosquée de la ville après Masjid anNabawi. Il peut contenir jusqu'à 15 000 fidèles à la fois. La nuit, la mosquée blanche semble émaner de la lumière de sa structure en albâtre. Sept petites mosquées sont également situées à proximité.

Installations

La mosquée a un bloc administratif qui a des stations de wudhu installées pour les pèlerins avec des installations spéciales pour les personnes handicapées. Il y a un petit marché près de la mosquée qui est célèbre pour ses tapis et ses dattes. Les personnes visitant la mosquée devraient essayer les dattes fraîches qui sont vendues à un prix inférieur après la prière d'Asar.

The new mosque building at night; it was completed circa 2017 and casted SR42 million. The mosque is located in the center of the Sayyid Al-Shuhada area in Uhud. The newly built Masjid al-Shohada has one dome and two minarets. The mosque as seen from the south with Jabal Rumah hiding it partially. circa 600 CE  The western facade and the entrance to the mosque, with western minaret. The building of the mosque is a blend of modernity and traditional architecture. The mosque drives its fame from the nearby tombs of the Uhud martyrs, and is the largest mosque in the city after the Masjid e Nabawi. There are about seven other smaller mosques in the same vicinity. circa 600 CE  An aerial view of the Jameh Sayed al-Shohada, with Shuhada Uhud Cemetery in the upper left corner. The open area to the south (lower left corner and lower middle) is reserved for make-shift vendors' market.
