Disrespectful, Rude and Unprofessional Receptionists at Emaar Grand Hotel
Emaar grand hotel has one of the worst Receptionists. Disrespectful, Unprofessional, rude, unmannered, uncaring, you name it. In-fact they needs proper training. They don’t know how to talk to their guests. Even the luggage handlers (MD Asif) can speak better than all the duffer receptionists they have. There were three receptionists on 2nd Sep around 16:00 in this hotel. Two with mask and one without mask but all are (mini iblees). We stayed in this hotel from 2nd Sep to 5th Sep. Me, my Wife and my two daughters aged 6 and 4 travelled from London to Jedda and got there on 2nd Sep at 15:45 for check in. Check-in time was 16:00. Receptionist told us to wait 15 minutes. I said okay. We were so tired and my kids just wanted to sleep. In-fact we all just wanted to do some rest before proceeds to Kaaba for Umrah. 40 minutes passed no updates. I nicely approached her again but she refused to talk and keep ignoring me even I was standing at her desk. While I was at the desk I noticed that they were abusing every single guest in Arabic. They are might be thinking that nobody can understand but I had a translation app open in my mobile phone and I could understand every single word there were uttering. They abused me, my Wife, My 6 and 4 years old daughters. And when I said excuse me what did you just said but she ignored me. I asked her to call the manager but manager never showed up. Time was keep going but she didn’t give me any update. After 2.5hrs I approached the receptionist again but all of them were just not willing to help. Imagine you traveled 12 hours, got to the hotel on time, tired with kids crying for sleep. Although I booked this hotel from booking.com one month before but still waited 4 hours at the reception. These receptionists were keep roaming around but nobody help us. I can understand there was a language barrier because they couldn’t understand or speak English but at-least she should not lie to me. She told me to wait 15 minutes and then keep ignoring me. And we ended up waiting 4hrs for our room. When we got to the room I was shocked to see the toilet. It was horribly dirty. During our 3 nights stay, no housekeeping was offered and no extra towels and toiletries provided. Plus I booked a blue carpet room but there was no carpet in our room. The only thing I want to say is I WANT COMPENSATION. I WAND MY 50% MONEY BACK. I strongly advise anyone who is considering staying at this hotel think twice if possible avoid this hotel. And I will definitely stop my family and friends from staying at this rubbish hotel in the future. I think booking.com should not provide their platform to Emaar grand hotel because their bad customer service giving bad reviews to booking.com as well. I hope booking.com will send my complaint to Emaar grand and off list this hotel from their platform.
